Justice is the best Yeah, actually, Dio, during his fight with Jotaro uses it about 9 or so times, a lot of the fight, even with Awakened DIO, takes place in stopped time. That’s actually one of the problems with adapting this fight in my opinion, due to the medium it’s done in, this being in animated form, it’s extended while, in all honesty, the manga fight isn’t even that long and takes a couple minutes to read compared to the anime while it’s, like, an episode or 2.

I consider The World the strongest stand in JoJo. Every stand that does beat it is literally designed to counter time stop and has to go through some transformation to achieve that power. So without narrative hax I personally do think it cant be beat. The Diavolo argument is all dependent on how you think epitaph and time erasure works against time stop. Both have to be taken into consideration because without epitaph, time erasure isn’t consistent or effective. It’s the ability to know what’s going to happen and then changing it to give yourself an advantage is what makes King Ctimson so formidable. This is where the issue lies. So question now becomes how does epitaph predict time stop? Either epitaph see the moment before and jumps to the moment after or it sees everything that happen during the time stop stacked on top of itself in one instance which would be impossible to tell what’s going on. Personally I lean to the former but both would make the fight a nightmare for Diavolo . I’ve always loved how a simple concept like stopping time is so powerful.

really it just depends , KC's time erasure combined with epitaph is really OP,but it will mostly play out as whoever goes for an attack first likely loses,since KC can predict it's enemy's moves and just do its thing,and the world seems to have a reaction time pretty similar (if not better) to star platinum,wich literally can catch bullets and that one minuscule stand that tried to get into jotaro's ear,so if dio stands still(to avoid getting confused by the time erasure),then maybe he could react fast enough and time stop . But tbh, i think that the most OP stand that isn't designed to counter anything in particular has to be the green baby's stand from part 6,it is literally untouchable ,you can't kill it,and it's only automatic ,if can reduce any incoming thing to an atomic level,I think it might even nullify a nuclear bomb ,its so underrated

@@gtatielmehdi369 actually no, if dio attacked first then its over, diavolo will predict it see himself fine first then a donut the second he won't see the world because dio already recalled it in stopped time so he would think that dio wasn't the one to do it, he would try to look for another person in the area and die because he didn't erase time in time to save himself, if diavolo erased time first then he would just see dio scream the world and then see him change positions slightly, what happened was that dio carried out his movement of making a donut out of diavolo but he doesn't because diavolo can't be touched in erased time, diavolo would be confused since dio just teleported from his point of view diavolo would move behind dio end erased time then slice dio like everyone else but the difference is that dio stops time after being hit then kills diavolo because from his point of view he teleported behind him and almost killed him

@@D_us_T Well, it depends. Given how when time is frozen, things dont really HAPPEN in time, per say, but are caused outside of it, with only the effects showing up. So most likely diavolo just sees himself with a hole in his chest, not knowing what the hell happened. Plus, KC merely erases the CAUSE of something, the effects remain the same. Example, if you take a shot at diavolo and he uses KC, you wouldn't remember ever taking the shot, because technically it never happened. However, behind diavolo would be a bullet mark, as the EFFECT is still there. The problem with him fighting TW is that even though he erases the moment from everyones perception, dios STILL gonna stop time, and STILL gonna kill diavolo, dio just wouldn't know how he happened to kill him. Worse still, diavolo wouldn't be able to use KC to avoid TW attacking, because he can't dodge something thatll ALWAYS hit him, no matter what. But hey, thats my take on it, only Araki holds the answers. Tl:dr, due to how the abilities work, i think dio takes it, but it depends on Araki

Markus Beige Thats definitely a good point, but regarding time erase. Lets say diavolo saw dio donut him and decided to erase time to reposition himself. That would be 2 problems, for starters Diavolo wouldn’t remain at the same place when Dio stops time, so Dio would be hitting nothing in the stopped time. For Diavolo Dio would most likely just teleport in erased time and that would also confuse him. So it prob be something like: Diavolo lands the first hit after TE ends but Dio is a vampire and doesn’t die so he stops time again and kills Diavolo.

Just in case I want to tell you: -Dio can expend his time stop ability from second to hours -Za Warudo Stats is way higher than KC -KC defence/durability is E which make him super weak. Imagine a stand with A power like Za Warudo punching KC. It would 100% make KC crippled... - Za Warudo Durability is A and Dio has Jonathan body and he is a vampire which make him 2 times durable than normal humans. Even Jotaro punch break his skull and still survive... -Dio is vampire which make TS ability spamable because of his high stamina. And don't fight him after drinking Joestar Blood... -You cannot erase time if it stopped - if they both fight without any knowledge about theirs both ability. Diavolo would fucked up. Even he put a hole in Dio, he still could resist it and keep fighting...

You are wrong about Dio, the whole final fight Dio was being careful. He didn’t want a repeat of what happened to him with Jonathan. He was testing Jotaro’s abilities and he was ready to end the fight until he discovered his time stop and this is where Dio became insanely careful in the fight with Dio doubting himself. This is what kept Jotaro alive long enough to actually land a critical hit. Dio is by no means the villan who is careless. If Dio was as rash and boastful as you said he was, he would have run straight to Joesph and Jotaro and attempt to kill them.

Considering Dio was a vampire so his stand was boosted, Star Plat is definately better than The World. He would have killed dio many times if he wasn't immortal, and even without time stop god damn it, if he had it, Dio would literally have no chance to win. And actually, the canon JoJo states that Star Platinum is the strongest stand, and this is in part 6 so stop saying GER is stronger, if Araki said it's not, that simply means that while time is frozen GER ability won't work, it's not hard to understand.

Jotaro could also increase/lose the length of time he could stop time when he used/stopped using it for period of time, but unlike dio whos body would always regenerate and never age (unless disintegrated completely by hamon or sunlight) Jotaro later began to experience strain from stopping time So immortal or not you can increase your limit, but without vampiric vitality youre not gonna be surviving for very long if you over use it

Well, we know that stands can get weaker or stronger depending on the user's will. I've always saw the death of Dio like this : His ego was crushed, because Jotaro invaded his world and even stole his power. He went in an instant from "I've won" to badly damaged. And his whole talk about doing cowardice things to survive was, in my opinion, just him justifying himself because he was livid to be forced to act like this to defeat Jotaro. So, ego crushed, The World weakened, plus he hit with his weak left side, against a Jotaro more determined than ever. So in my opinion, The World and Star Platinum are equal, but The World got beaten because of his user losing the will to fight.

1. Dio was embarrassing Jotaro for the majority of the fight. 2. DIO was in a body actively rejecting him. 3. He absorbed the blood of a Hmaon user which while did appear to boost would also work directly against him as well. 4. DIO was being cocky and not taking the fight seriously. 5. The World and Star Platinum are constantly referred to as the same stand which means one can’t be stronger that the other without outside aspects effecting it like mastery and until the very end DIO definitely had greater mastery over the stand.

The Jotaro and DIO fight is 15 minutes in real time, meaning that when you stress and practice the ability you learn it faster and faster with no real limit. If Jotaro wasn’t a good guy (meaning he wouldn’t need to be nerfed) it’s possible he’d be able to stop time for hours on end by the time Part 4 happens.

Vampiric abilities dont make stands in any way Stronger and thats obvious because vampirism effects are only to body not to soul or mind. Hamon and spin are exceptions because they are energy and stands are too so they can interact just like hermit purple do

Do people not realize DIO developed The World on his own? Like naturally? People are confused about alt Diego’s The World and more specifically how he got it. DIO/Diego’s stand across ever single universe ever is The World, main universe Diego only has scary monsters because he stole it from Dr. Ferdinand, I’m sure if he actually waited long enough he would’ve developed The World on his own but he got scary monsters first and you can’t have two stands.

Steel Ball Run, as stated by Funny Valentine, the corpse parts are exclusive to the SBR universe. Alternative universes have less valuable treasures to supplement the corpse parts. Funny Valentine went to a different universe that had a Dio and informed him of Johnny's stand.

My favorite stand/user is Killer Queen/Kira and I'll tell ya how he'd "win" by losing. No bombs. Killer Queen bites the dustoo at some moment within The World's time freeze. If Kira is aware of this he can set his timer to that. In essence trapping Dio in a timeless state. Dio would eventually figure this out and realize the only way to win: is not to play.
