For people who dismiss DIO- remember that he had spent the majority of the fight as a head struggling to control the body of a person whose energy naturally opposed to a vampire- limiting his abilities as a vampire and forced to use an arsenal of unusual weaponry like knives and a stop sign in conjunction with his time stop. And in spite of that, he forced Jotaro to use trickery and bluffs to even not get one-shotted before he grasped his own powers over time stop. And DIO only lost because he was the midst of a power high and Jotaro had to finish him off before he could calm down, increase his time stop, and likely regain his vampire powers- making him physically unstoppable except for Stands that work on metaphysical levels of power.

Many underestimates DIO because of his fight with Jotaro but if you think about it. The only ones who can fight him is either have also time manipulation(or only time stop) or reality prowess stands. Without any of it, there is no way you can defeat him. But due to his cocky and playful behaviour, it leads to his downfall. DIO literally is one of the strongest in the series.

Imo ta4 is the strongest offensive stand there is, but being able to stop time and do whatever you want is so stupidly fucking op. If TS was ever used to its full potential then thered be a case for it to be the strongest ability in the franchise under certain battle conditions (time stopping before others abilities can be activated, i.e funny valentine before he activates love train, Giorno before using the arrow, maybe can kill WOU without problems in TS

My favorite stand is king crimson, I think is a little underrated, but at the same time not. It has pros and cons. Two good ability : time erase/skip and epitaph. These ability hasn't long durability (10 seconds) but still useful if used well.

Honestly, I think King Crimson is the most powerful stand(Top 5 At least). It's so busted the only stand(GER) that beat it was basically an "Ascended" stand which was basically a deus ex machina. The best part of King Crimson is that its practical stand insofar as that you can actually use it in the real world. Seeing into the future and wiping away an event that you dont like is pretty useful all around.

Here is something about the concept of stopping time during a fight: if the other one can't counter it (aka also be able to stop time or accelerate the stopped period of time) they are in most cases done for. If DIO really wants to kill his enemy and not toy with them (look at the fight with Kakyoin) he will instantly end them. If the enemy stand is durable he will just go for the user who isn't. If he didn't toy with Jotaro at the start of their fight he would have probably won and became the strongest being in all JoJo media: Heaven Ascension DIO with THE WORLD Over Heaven who could not be beat except through plot.

I believe King Crimson has the ability to defeat any time-stopping stand if used correctly. Here is what I think would happen: Step 1: Epitaph shows a premonition of some disastrous thing happening to Diavolo instantly-it could be knives appearing, Dio showing up with his fist in your stomach, or anything at all Step 2: King Crimson erases the time from shortly before these events occur to right after they occur, as stopped time lasts for **0 seconds** Diavolo has caused the following narrative for an observer: Diavolo uses his Epitaph - Dio is standing in front of Diavolo wondering why he’s there while Diavolo immediately puts his stand’s fist into Dio’s head

The world is one of my favorite stands, second only to King Crimson, I've seen people say Star platinum and the like are building level but I guess they were wrong? I also remember seeing something from a writing standpoint that Araki made Dio confident in The World like how in part 1 Dio was confident in his vampire powers, so Dio in part 3 might've had the other abilities but to a far lesser extent but I could be wrong. I'd love to see a video on a composite Dio, full vampire abilities with The World

It never showed the other vampires being transformed (except vanilla ice I reckon) but I wonder if the mask has something to do with Dio being so much more powerful. He already fills a similar role to Dracula as a final boss and maker of other vampires, so perhaps the powers dilute or weaken for those turned by his blood (as is often the case in stories with vampires). Jack the ripper wasn't Jack shit tbh, and VI was mostly a threat due to his stand. Tarukus and..... sunnovabitch I forgot his name... anyway they were badass as humans so the power boost was fittingly drastic.

I think King Crimson could win tho. Epitaph forsees DIO teleporting and a bunch of knives appearing, and then he uses KC to dodge that before DIO enters time stop. DIO would still do his thing, but he wouldn’t be aware. King Crimson’s ten second skip doesn’t include Za Warudo because it’s technically zero seconds, so Diavolo has enough time to dodge before and after the stop, and even though he couldn’t move during it, he still wouldn’t have a „hitbox“ if you will. You can’t stop time while time doesn’t exist. DIO‘s regenerating abilities after taking the hit might be problematic tho

Way I see it: KC cannot erase time if said time happened during a time stop. Most people act like everything in the time stop happens in the fraction of a second, which is wrong. Any action preformed during a time stop is effectively 0. If Dio uses The World before KC activates anything, then Dio cannot lose by any means because KC itself hasn't activated yet at all, meaning if it activates after The World's time stop then Diavolo still retains his mortal injuries from before the activation and will still have them after, if he can even activate KC to begin with. Epitath can see 10 seconds into the future but all actions preformed under time stop wouldn't even be visible due to happening outside of the flow of time, so only the effects would be noticed, leading to Diavolo seeing Dio teleport around out of nowhere and his own death via donut. And if you think King Crimson can activate it's time slip/skip before The World can stop time, try and remember: Dio could activate his time stop without Polnareff(The guy who can react to light speed tier things) even noticing it, and without having to shout ZA WARUDO every time. This means Dio could very subtly activate it at any point and KC would have 0 warnings unless Dio was feeling very, very, VERY Jobber-ific that day and wanted to announce his time stops 10 seconds in advance of actually activating them.

The barrage battle they had at the start was a The World with a weakened left side and he still won.The roadroller arguement is invalid since in the manga it is only Dio attacking it. Araki even said that The World has limitless time stop if fully developed. According to the Stone Ocean stats, Star Platinum has a C in potential. Therefore, Star Platinum's timestop peaked at 5 seconds.

@@METAsMETAs usually people who put him against other time stoppers without realizing that those time stoppers are scaled much differently. I.E. Sakuya Izoyai from Touhou vs Dio. Sakuya (without scaling her to other characters) is a decent City-Small Mountain Buster that gets scaled to Universal AP because of shitty scaling and vague as statements. The highest I’ve seen for Dio is Large Building to City Block Level with scaling to other characters. Now, I believe DIO has a decent shot against Low-End Sakuya if we assume she can’t move in his stopped time but he gets stomped by high-end/wanked Sakuya. The thing isn’t that DIO is weak, he just gets matched with stronger or more haxed characters. Also, DIO Over Heaven solos Touhou.

Yeah people always forget that part 3 DIO was weaker than part 1 Dio for most of the fight. And his entire goal in that fight was to regain his lost power by obtaining more Joestar blood. If he stole Jotaro’s blood, we could easily assume that his other vampiric abilities would return, and it would speed up his rule over frozen time.

While I know some will say otherwise, I REALLY think that star platinums light speed is a figure of speech rather than his actual speed. If star platinum/the world could move and react at the speed of light, it’d be unstoppable at least against most non reality bending stands.

My one and only problem with Dio and his stand “The World” is that I love the stand but absolutely hate the stand user. Like Okuyasu and his stand “The Hand” The World is held back exponentially by how stupid Dio is as a character and Villain (P.S if you are a Dio fan I mean no Offense when I say he’s stupid I mean he’s actually not smart If he was he would have won.)

I feel like even though there are a few stands with somewhat more powerful abilities than the world, which I still think is the most broken ability in the series, the fact that Dio is a vampire as the user immediately makes him the strongest and most dangerous antagonist in the series in my opinion

In my Pink Justice fanfic, we see Dio use all his powers. The-World, Hermit-Blue, vampire abilities in unison. Then he also uses the Anubis sword himself & has Anubis possess his Stand so he can fight independently. Jotaro who learned time stop early must face Anubis who is controlling Dio's Stand while Joseph & Lisa face Dio himself

Thats kind Of a Broken Concept,Fully Awakened Dio+The World+Anubis And "Hermit Blue" ?. He can Literraly Just Use Hb To wrap arround Jotaro While In Ts And Trow Start Trowing Him Arround Breaking A few Of his Bones In the Process,Then While Mid Air He can Use Stingy Eyes To damage Him a Bit More And send Him Flying,Then Use Anubis To Cut Jotaro Up Like a American Ground Beef In a Saturday Barbecue,And Finnish Him off With A punch To the Gut. Ok personal opinion but range actually makes a difference with how powerful stands are. And I think part 3 states that The World's range is like 20 meters. I mention this because what you gonna do when your punch ghost has a range of 1-5 meters and they guy who can stop time and one shot you has a range of 20 meters?! Nothing just cry.
