I think their reprint period should be at the end of the blocks, like a commemorative set. Big box, ebay and so one should all sell the same set. I say this because I live in the middle of nowhere with a walmart that doesn't sell metazoo!!! My LGS needs to see growth and interest before jumping in with Metazoo, and I am hoping this refocus of efforts will, in the long run, benefit the entire community as a whole. I am also hoping that, during this closure and people being scared, I can score some steals. Lol. At the end of the day, Metazoo is doing what is best for the company, and I think that we need to take a minite and remember that, without Metazoo, we may have never met Argos and Turmentic, who are amazing pillars and are like the HR/complaints department of Metazoo. These gentlemen are consistantly upbeat and positive, and are always helpful when things look down. I understand there may be some salt and some negatives, but this community has been nothing short of amazing, and I think we should certainly thank Argos and Turmentic for their amazing roles in what could have been sour times. Thank you, Argos, for being the kind generous spirit of Metazoo!

I was hoping they would have said 2 main sets. 3 feels ambitious after a year of 1 main set. Obviously none of the other distractions will help, but I really hope that new schedule they put up doesn't miss.

It looks like MZ is taking all of the correct actions to pull out of this nosedive, we just have to see how the world reacts. At this point anyone remotely near the CCG industry has no faith in the MetaZoo brand, and it remains to be seen if these actions can truly regain some of that lost goodwill. I think print runs will really be the proving ground for this. If Kuromi had had a smaller print run, we'd already be seeing an improvement in brand image, but alas we have to wait until next May for this sort of correction (the roadmap dropped while I was writing this)

And like, it sucks to see a date of May for War, a set that was supposed to come out last summer. By the time May hits we'll have basically had one core set in the whole year prior - SCP and Legacy will be nice, but we've still got FIVE MORE MONTHS before another set drops

It could be the best place for the community to gather. Unfortunatly MZs heavy censorship, and poor communication has detracted from it and alienated people. It seems instead of improving how they run the discord they have choosen to just step back and let the community do its own thing instead. Perhaps when they get a community manager/PR manager down the road they can try again.

Yes, they need to take care of the core products before any promos or collaborations. This change is necessary, or else MZ will not survive long-term. Most were burnt badly, and it will take a major righting of the ship to restore faith back into the brand.

When MZ saw CN1 boxes at 1k each, they implemented a method of releasing promos and secondary products that worked. New products sold out instantly because the core was too expensive to afford for most. But it only worked when the base set was 1k a box. To satiate the people who “missed the boat”, MZ rapid fired off new sets and products. This made people happy for a short while, but terribly diluted the market as a whole. This release formula continued set after set even after the market over saturation was obvious. Seemed like it was figured out by Native, but then regressed right back, probably thinking the controversial hello kitty collab would be strong enough to carry the weight of another over printing.

This is it! Make or break the next set. Legacy has to be complete fire! And it needs to include Metazoo marketplace promos for every $20 spent. And the promos have to be as good or better than the Black Friday set.

1:20 -1:48 100% FACTS When Wilderness 1st edition came out it was Hot. When they made an Ebay version of Wilderness. All Wilderness 1st edition lost there value and tanked. And I was done with Metazoo. Why would you do that?

I know metazoo went away from releasing print runs but at least for the near future until the trust is built they may want to really not only cut back the print runs & skews but ADVERTISE THE METAPOO OUT OF HOW LIMITED THE RUNS ARE!

The couple distributors in my area that stock product have cut ties from the game so I can't get it anywhere seperate from online now anyway, I kind of enjoyed it but it was a very tertiary game maybe the 5th least collected by me and people I know. I just keep hearing the people in charge putting their foot in it a lot

I have been calling it since the launch of Wilderness. Metazoo diluted their own product with overprinting, too many promo's and too many collabs. As a young company trying to establish themselves and trying to establish a dedicated fanbase, they pulled the trigger on way way too many products They simply got over confident and greedy as most CCG's do. I also feel that they ultimately tried to take advantage of their earliest and most dedicated supporters. My prediction is that Metazoo will have a massive resurgence when they release Yokai. If Yokai doesn't create a spark then Metazoo will go in the trash bin forever.
