It worked for me. When I was in my child bearing years my period would be non existent my weight gain was hard to control but I did it by under eating and being miserable. Then I was put on metformin it brought back my period I started to ovulate ) I was able to eat more with out gaining weight ( I did exercise a lot) I have two daughters that would have not been possible without this magical pill

Are you still on Metformin now? I really don't want to be on drugs for the rest of my life, I'm on amlodipine too for high bp so adding another drug is not an option

Your video is so helpful, I have been battling PCOD since 3 years now. It went undiagnosed as I never missed my period, my cycle was not at all affected. I did self USG when I noticed I was gaining weight even though my diet was the same. That's when I found out I had PCOS, it could be due to stress, or due to family history, lifestyle changes etc. I tried my best to diet and exercise but I wasn't losing weight at all. Now I am planning to start with Metformin, I hope this works for me. 🤞🤞🤞

Thats because metformin is a diabetic medication. The way it works is to help with insulin resistance and carbs have a huge impact on insulin. The best way to use metformin is to also adopt a Low glycemic diet. Or diabetic diet.

Aeris Simbulan I’m on plant based diet but I eat chicken boiled eggs and fish for protein and I do a lot cardio walking jogging not to much sprints swimming is another good exercise

Hey there! I have a second video about my "2nd week of metformin." These videos are over a year old and I will say that I took metformin for 1 year consistently and saw no changes. I have since stopped taking it and switched to a natural alternative called "Myo-inositol" which has similar benefits and isn't as harsh on the stomach and digestive tract.

@@kimdanielle9678 I felt sick! I would go to sleep with horrible acid reflux and my appetite reduced to not even being able to eat a proper meal. It isn't for me, but if you've been prescribed it because lifestyle changes are GENUINELY not possible then stick with it, I've heard it gets better. For me, I'm willing to go on more walks and quit this medicine

@@ANabiha I was diagnosed almost a year ago, have had symptoms for years. Got script, never took it. Been trying to change eating habits. I eat maybe once a day therefore I know my body is doing that insulin spike thing and I LOVEEE sugar soo. Probably still not gonna take it. But I actually considered before reading these comments if it were to help with weight loss.

@@kimdanielle9678 I think at the end of the day you need to realize that this is like a very temporary solution. You may actually lose weight but when you get off it eventually what do you think will happen? If the strict ish lifestyle changes need to happen eventually then you might as well start now. I know I am obsessed with sugar as well, but I want to feel good. If that means I should cut down on how much junk I'm eating then that's okay. And changes won't happen overnight. It's true that losing weight helps symptoms but take care of yourself and take baby steps, you will be okay ❤

I have been on metformin for 3 weeks also for my PCOS and the nausea the first week was terrible and so was the diarrhea. I have lost 8 pounds in 3 weeks but I have been on a very low sugar diet and I try to eat as healthy as possible.

I just started metformin this week. I have recurrent miscarriage and was recently diagnosed with MTHFR and insulin issues. Hopefully these are the causes of my losses. But omg the diarrhea is unreal. I have to change my diet because this is horrible!

I have PCOS and I'm taking metformin I just started it. I was reluctant to take anything and try the herbal way I've known I've had PCOS for quite a while now and my endocrinologist insisted that I take this. I also struggle with endometriosis and I have colitis I'm curious if this bowel issue and PCOS is somehow related? it seems to go hand-in-hand with many that suffer with PCOS. I'm just hoping the best for everybody that has this it's miserable it only gets worse with age, I'm in my forties five years ago I didn't feel like I feel now. Thanks for the video, I'm on Mettformin cus of PCOS too. I stayed off this meds for a while and gained a lot of weight. I'm back on it and no stomach issues but eating bread heavy carbs makes me sleepy, totally out of energy. Good luck, I'm hoping it helps 😉💝

This happened to me too but i found that if i took vit b12 with it I wasnt sleepy.I learnt that it inhibits b12 absorption. See your Dr for more details

I get migraines... I'm pretty sure they are hormonal. I just started back on my Metformin as well and I got a migraine. It might have something to do with Metformin calming some of the crazy hormones going on.

I'm so glad it hasn't been so terrible for you! I literally had to stop in the middle of a meal often to run to the bathroom before I changed my diet! Lol tmi sorry. I've cut out dairy gluten soy sugar caffeine chocolate beef and pork. And it has helped so I'm not like terribly uncomfortable all the time. Lol but I still have diarrhea. Lol I only get nauseous on it if I don't eat before taking it. I've been taking 2000 for almost two years now. And I'm telling you I haven't had a normal BM since. But just sharing my experience with it! You may be totally different! I'm also on the extended release which helped A LOT ALOT! Much love in all your endeavors!

Been on metformin 500mg 5 days now. 2nd day i had bad diarohea and strong cramps which lasted about 20 mins. Other than that I just get some dull cramps, major loss of appetite i only crave chocolates and eggs, and don't want to eat anything else. I've not lost any weight yet also no sign of ovulation. Been ttc since may 2017 and was diagnosed with pcos 4 years ago gp put me on the pill to regulate my periods.

I have been taking metformin for about 25 years for type 2 diabetes. Never had the side effect you mention or any others worth mentioning. Lately though I have needed a laxative....I'm 78 now and it's probably time to start eating prunes......Never had a problem with metformin...2x1000mg daily......excellent A1C readings..........
