Recently diagnosed, with insulin resistance and no period for over a year... When my doctor gave me metformin, I had extreme nausea, acidity, embarassing uncontrollable gas n bad mood n cravings all at once! My family was surprised as to what was happening to me..? Luckily for me I found your instagram page pretty soon after I was diagnosed... I knew I had to quit taking metformin after 1 month.. and it made life so much better when the side effects went away... Thank god I found you in time! I took metformin after a long time trying natural remedies and after many years finally moving to metformin my menstrual cycle came back and i was able to become pregnant with my little girl! I know its different for all people but it worked like magic for me.

@@safaabuji hey! Little history. I was diagnosed in 2016 after years and years of no one listening to me. I found my doc who finally listened to me and we did all the tests to find out what was wrong. I told her i wanted to try as much natural ways before medication. She agreed and helped me look in the right direction including getting me an appointment with a nutritionist. I did gf, df, caffeine free, soy free, everything separate, everything at the same time... After approx 3 years we decided together it was time to try metformin. I had done a lot of research myself and i know so many people were against it but i know everything works differently for different people so i gave it a try. At first i had all the side affects but i started to lose some weight and within 4 months i began menstruating. I had one and we jumped on the idea that hopefully it would be 2 months in a row (which i have never experienced my entire life) at the beginning i was a few months apart and then further and further till i was lucky if i even got once a year. I decided to just do the math as if i was regular and when i should be ovulating (ovulation tests never showed that i was) and it was like clockwork and i was "late" since iv never been late i just never had my period twice in a row i thought it was just that i needed to take the meds longer. But i decided to take a test just incase and there it was the little positive! I totally know that it isnt good for everyone but i personally am so happy i gave it a try. Everyone has to trust their own body.

I just started taking metformin and it has been one of the best things I ever did for my PCOS! A week and a half after taking it I started my period, which I hadn’t had in 9 months. It also helped with my cravings and energy levels tremendously. I used to crave carbs and sugar so badly. But now I crave it like “normal.” My relationship with my health and body is becoming better and better.

@@blackdingdongs I do not have any issues with hair loss/thinning. I do have excess facial hair, and I don’t think it has changed or anything since being on it. It might grow a little slower? But taking inositol helps with my facial hair. The growth production is noticeably slower. So maybe it would help with hair thinning too? Good luck!!

Got my second period in 2021 so grateful. I was turned away by my fertility clinic because I didn’t keep up with booking appointments so I’m so pumped to just reverse everything on my own and lose weight and tell them to shove it for not being kinder and more understanding with women dealing with PCOS ❤️

I was diagnosed with PCOS last 2018, my doctor only said I have to change my lifestyle and lose weight. Well it is not as easy as that. I had been taking Metformin on and off because I'd get stomach aches from talking it. My doctor did not give me a lot of information about the symptoms of PCOS. I do crave a lot and my menstruation is so not normal. I am glad to have found you here with all the things I need to know about PCOS. I do hope I can start with Ovasitol pretty soon, it is quite pricey here.

Taking metformin I gained 30 pounds instead of losing. My sugar levels were always borderline. And cyst are so bad. My craving were so over the roof. Taking ovasitol saved me my cravings are gone 50%. My weight is starting to go down I have lost 10 pounds within 1 month of taking ovasitol. I am trying to go df/gf I’m almost there. My mood swings are so much better and I’m more energetic.

I am going to a holistic/natural medicine doctor who has been running more test and recently discovered that I have hypoglycemia insulin resistance (coinciding with my PCOS). I am going to slowly get off metformin and control my symptoms using supplements and monitored gluten-free dairy free diet :) All because I saw your videos and decided to seek out this new doctor :) So thank you so much 🥰

I have zero weight loss on a diet, with hight activity and inositol (4000 mg/per Day for 6 months) . But after one week on metformin minus 0,4 kg, and - 3 kg after less that 2 months. Seriously where that stuff was all my life? And I don't have any side effects at all

I have a 16 yr old daughter. She stopped regular menstrual cycles when she was almost 15. Previous her BMI was rising at an alarming rate. It made no sense to me. She ate like my two other children and all the other kids I know. They're all at a healthy weight. Her acme was severe as well. Her BMI increased as soon as she went through puberty. The Dr wants her on Metformin. She seems overwhelmed by it all and just doesn't want to deal with it. She has an IUD now and medicine for her acne. She seems to be doing well except the weight. It is hard enough being a teenage girl and then having the judgment of her peers and adults alike. Btw adults are worse sometimes. It took me 4 years to get Dr to listen to me. I knew something was wrong. They just thought I was feeding her wrong and she was overeating, if anything that is the opposite of the truth. She almost goes the opposite direction with food. I have to get after her to ear. I want her healthy. I ordered Ovasitol. Hoping this will work before having to take Metformin. The things I've read. Imagine being a Jr in high school and dealing with the horrible digestive issues. Also she is not eartng enough now and if she feels sick all the time she will never want to eat. I am so confused. I've been diagnosed with Pcos but I've never had a cyst, I don't have acne, I have never missed a period, I ovulate every month, and I don't have facial hair. I only have boarder line insulin resistance 🤷‍♀️

I changed my diet and lifestyle, however my weight loss took years and I still have problems on a none dairy high protien diet with weight training. I'm now going to try metformin for 6 months and then transfer onto pcos.

I can say just getting rid of dairy is a big deal - lost 30 pounds in a month! Probably plenty of fluid retention in it but still! I haven’t been as sure about gluten. And I like the suggestion to do slow weighted exercises. I’m strong, but also stressed out so I don’t really want more of that.

I don’t know if anymore has experienced this but I’m feeling really angry at the medical system for being prescribed a SSRI for stomach issues that lead to changing my blood sugar and making it impossible to loose weight even though all my life prior I had a very thin and fit figure by birth. I was always able to loose weight. And never had diabetes or blood sugar issues. Now I’m trying alone to make the connections as to why I’m not loosing weight. I also have a pre existing condition of PCOS. I am praying blood sugar can be fixed. Feeling very helpless in this process after putting on 10 KG during medication use.

I do not get stomach ache or abdominal pain, but I do get very dizzy and out of breath ever since starting Metformin at the beginning of this year. These side effects were not mentioned, and I'm wondering if others have gotten them?

Yes I have I felt like that all the time, I was taking prolonged realesed metformin, so my Dra changued my medication to regular metformin and it did improve my symptoms

Apparently some yogurts have added sugar, maybe they are reffing to those? Other then that most dairy products have a low GI, so I'm not sure why would it spike insulin. I hope they talk about it more. It might be bad for weight loss because of the hormones, but that would depend on the person and product.

Ovasitol is a brand name of a supplement that includes myo and D-chiro inositol in a 40:1 ratio ... From what I gather, this ratio is important as its perfect for women with pcos... Hope that helped
