Beautiful. Being a couple months sober after relapsing 4 times; this quote is what’s been keeping me on the straight line. The one that spoke to me the loudest and seemed the clearest. So dam true lol God bless everyone fighting an addiction right now. I know it’s good but please give yourself a chance. I don’t miss waking up sick. Putting the drug before ANYONE. Letting yourself go. Destroying everything around you. Life is so great. I have gained most of the trust I lost (some you just can’t fix). Fixed things with my lil baby. And most importantly, im able to be the father I want to be with my son. LEAVE DRUGS IN THE PAST. LIFE IS WAITING FOR YOU!!

Former meth addict. Clean for 30 years with a great family, home, and job. I was a shy kid that got excellent grades in school. The summer after my sophomore year in high school, I started drinking alcohol. I broke out of my shell a little bit because of it. I started going to parties and started to actually become one of the popular kids. Then, one night, after a few drinks someone offered me some crank. There's no way I would have tried it if I was sober, but the liquid courage in me said, "yeah, I'll try a little bit". Oh. My. God. Best feeling ever! I felt so awesome. I loved everybody. It was all big energy and great vibes. I spent several months doing it on weekends with that same feeling. It was the greatest stuff on earth. But then I did it on more than just weekends. I started skipping school. Then I did it even more. I dropped out of school. Then I had to get a job, but my co-workers and boss did meth, too (construction jobs). I started doing it everyday. It all spiraled out of control from there. You begin to chase your tail. You need it to be able to function. Eventually you crash, though. You aren't reliable at work.....you lose your job.....you become paranoid and can't make yourself get another job. You start stealing to support your habit. You end up in jail, and eventually, prison. Luckily, I had a strong support group that helped me get through to the other side, but a lot of people don't. Meth addicts burn the bridges of family and friend pretty quickly. I see so many meth zombies walking the streets these days and all I can say is that I'm glad I found a way out. I've seen so many great human beings destroyed by this garbage. Stay away from it at all costs.

Meth is whack, turns a normal person into a weirdo, ruins your body, end up broke and hopeless, nobody wants to be around a tweaker. Out of a month I probably slept 5 or 6 days, holding conversations with myself. Hearing whispers all the time and seeing things move around at night. Last time I used i I was up 3 days and doing yard work, when I had a heart attack at the age of 33. I was supposed to die but my God spared me again. Broke my pipe and threw away the last of my dope and been sober since. There's more to life than getting high everyday, God wants more for us than this. And yes they know, to all my tweakers.

I hear that people who go to the emergency room high on meth always get a neuroleptic. If I was a doctor, and I actually knew and liked the addict, I'd give them a high dose of a benzo, instead.
@mr.johatsu3 жыл бұрын
I seriously get this prescribed from my doctor in low doses to treat my ADD, and it really helps because from my ADD I have a naturally low dopamine level and this helps it rise to the level of a person without ADD. I can also conform the side effects. I have lost 20kg in 2 months, have a low desire for food, because of the raised blood pressure you are more easily cold and have a higher heart rate and way more energy. I have been taking it for two years daily and the side effects are almost unnoticeable, the only thing that is still an issue sometimes is sleeping problems and a really dry mouth.

Addiction is a choice to go overboard with anything more often then not daily abuse which creates a habit, all in all a habit remains a choice unless the inner thoughts are changed of the person from pro addiction to con addiction, withdrawl is the person not fully believing the cons of the habit ie. Sitting on the fence. Mind renewal is the only way to quit with or without withdrawals. The mind is a powerful thing especially when coupled with prayer&meditation and a new routine.

First hit I took out of a oil burner I was gone. It felt great, like I could climb everest 15 times in one day. But God showed up in my life and delivered me from this. Night after night I'd pray lord deliver me from for I am to weak. My last time using was on a grayhound bus where I snorted 5 lines of crystal off the sink in the bathroom of this bus. I've been up for 3 days and sleep deprivation set in an I was tripping hard. I had a panic attack after seeing a demon in the window where I was sitting. When I finally got home I prayed and asked God to forgive me and to drive these demons from head while playing hymns on my phone and sure as the world I went outside after being home and I was instantly sober and I've been clean since

Meth turned me into a masturbation addict. I didn't want to do meth without the anticipation of masturbation and now I don't care to masturbate without it. I am sober now and like that I don't masturbate even as much as I did before doing meth. I am in a field of study in masturbation and am now able to view pornography for algorithm study without feeling the need to masturbate or even get an erection. I think masturbation is a natural thing in life and meth can turn it into an addiction. I'm sure it can with sex as well. Take care if you are in recovery and don't substitute meth with any other substance or behavior. You will be more successful.

But I am not a tweaker, but I find it too very helpful makes me more focused on my work. I use till gone and stay off of it for 6 months and then I go back on till gone and go straight for awhile. My dad is heavily addicted, last summer I went to visit him when he got out of prison. About the 3rd day I was with him i found his sock. I didn’t say anything because I wanted to know my dad. He was using for awhile, he was staying up every night for days. The normal… he was going out ever night and stealing dirt bikes almost every day he’d come back with half of someone’s garage in my car, no permission to use it instead he did because he had authority of me. The last month I was with him is when it got bad! I left to go to a friends house and he was normal, high ofc but normal enough. That night I came back and he was completely out of it. Like a light switch! He then accused me of selling fetynol to fellow classmates at school. Then told the school I was!! No way! I told him very day for weeks that I didn’t and he said if u can’t stop lying get out of my house. I ran away, for the first time. Went to sleep on someone’s couch. Came back the next day and this cycle went on for a bit I was hopping it was just a phase he would snap out of. I proceeded to run away many times after this due to him getting very irrational about small things. I was always left with his mess to clean up and if I didn’t listen I’d get completely defeated. This comes down to the last week of bieng with him, he asked me a question and I hesitated to answer, I said no and idk what he asked me. It was like if you don’t agree with him he would get mad. He then took me back to the house got a switch and tried to switch me. I grabbed it socked him in the face, he then tackled me because of overpower. I ran inside got on top of my bed and waited for him to come in, I then kicked him in his face until he passed out. Toon the liquor out of the fridge, downed it and started walking to school. That day I got suspended because of what he had told them, it was a month long investigation they dug through my chats and found some chat about pot. That’s why I got suspended. I then waited for his girlfriend to pick me up, said I was not going back and she dropped me off at a friends. I then told my mom to come get me and told her the final truth once and for all. I went back that morning to get my things and he made me clean up after him until my mom got there from a 6 hour drive. I got my basket of clothes, nothing more and left. Last thing he said to me was I don’t wanna see you again you lying piece of shit. I said okay and I waved at him. A week later he is in jail for theft and trespassing!

Wow that's really awful..sadly I think that some people will never change for the best, no matter how much you keep trying for them and keep on giving them chance's..add drugs into the equation and I'm sure it makes everything a whole lot worse.... My only advice would be to stay FAR away from him and don't even let him know where you live in the future so he won't start stealing from you too and disturbing you..I'm thankful that nobody has ever treated me that bad but if they did , I would cut them off completely , it may hurt and make you feel sad, resentful and angry for a while but just remember that it's for the best to stay far away from them because some people will never change and will always be toxic towards you .. staying far far away from them will keep you from more disappointments and let you grow and be happy as your own person

And also when you used meth what made you want to use it again if it was anxiety
@moosedraw37315 жыл бұрын
That is why people continue to use. Because it causes anxiety after you’ve taken it and it’s worn off, you go “fuck what was that” and then take more returning you to the euphoria you were at, although after constantly using you need to use more, you become addicted and dependant. Which is, in all honesty, one of the worst experiences you can have. You become unable to function normally due to paranoia, or psychosis, resulting in violent tendencies, outbursts and other awful things. I’ve had friends who literally couldn’t go to work without using in the bathroom of their work. It’s quite a horrible drug...
