Would you recommend boiles in the winter to compliment the ground bait, if so which are the most effective?
@dreamcastchannel94159 жыл бұрын
Have you tried Dynamite baits liquid or Mainline syrup?
@FromTheWatersEdgeTV9 жыл бұрын
Hi +DreamCast Channel yeah we have, we especially like the Mainline Syrups as they are nice and sticky and help bind your pellets!

Another great vid, any tips on best winter groundbaits mate?
@MadfredAngling11 жыл бұрын
I like to use a Small method in winter with Sonu dark method mix. Small amount on the deck but very efficiet
@AnglingAdict11 жыл бұрын
Is it the dark color that makes it look more natural?
@MadfredAngling11 жыл бұрын
definitively, it is really important when water is underr 7-9°, very clera, because fish are shy in this period and you need to be as much discret as you can....And use a dark groundbait, but hi viz bait, like corn or fluo boilie.
@AnglingAdict11 жыл бұрын
Cheers for clearing that up

Hi mate, they were Preston Method Feeder Flying Back Leads... I think they're still available! If not there's lots of different models on the market that would work. :-) Hope that helps.

I’m going for the first time on Monday and don’t have a feeder rod but have all the other stuff but using liquidised bread on the method but if I used a method feeder with a slack line and loose drag would I still have a chance of getting a fish getting a rod soon but don’t have one yet as it’s my first time? Thanks
@FromTheWatersEdgeTV4 жыл бұрын
Hi Sam, yeah you would mate. Best bet would be to fish it big carp style, so perhaps fish a bobin on your line as an indicator. That way if you get a drop back bite you'll see it.

@FromTheWatersEdgeTV11 жыл бұрын
Haha! I keep telling Steve this Jason, however it's his lucky fishing hat and he refuses too! I think when we reach 1,000,000 views I'll force him to get a new one! :-)

@mattb20518 жыл бұрын
what type of rod are you using?
@FromTheWatersEdgeTV8 жыл бұрын
It's a Daiwa feeder rod - although i'm not sure if the model is still available anymore. Am sure it was something like the Daiwa TD Feeder rod.
@TheAlexperks9 жыл бұрын
Your poor hat! Rat attack lol. Well presented though lads
@FromTheWatersEdgeTV9 жыл бұрын
Thanks Alex Perks glad you enjoyed the video and cheers for the positive feedback. I know what your saying about the hat!!! It was Steve's lucky one, which he'd warn for all his big match wins etc it has however since been retired!!! :-( Haha! We might occasionally recall it to action if we are really struggling to catch however! ;-) Thanks again and tight lines, cheers Chris.
@MrJimbobDP10 жыл бұрын
yet again another flat feeder lol,,,whats happened to the old ball type
@FromTheWatersEdgeTV10 жыл бұрын
Hi James, I think they are still available, however the flat feeders and method moulds are simply more effective, quicker and easier to use etc I think the big Carp boys would still use a ball style feeder though, as they don't cast as regular as us match boys and you can fit more feed around a ball type feeder.
@MrJimbobDP10 жыл бұрын
yer makes sence that mate.,cheers dude..
