Why the ring on the other end of the elastic , are you tying the main line direct to this or are you using a snap link tied to your main line which wouldn't go through the tube resulting in a tethered fish 🤔

I either use a long baiting needle or some thick line to pull it through

Yes the elastic runs through the stem. Easiest way i have found is pull it through with a fine baiting needle.

I've never really understood what the benefit of using the elastic is? Can someone please explain? I just use inline feeders with no problems.

Meant to absorb fish pulls and I find you lose less fish because of it, normal inline is constantly banging against the fish helping the hook come out and losing the fish
