Metra 'BNSF' and 'Heritage Corridor' Lines ~ Suggestions for Train Sim World 3

Despite recently making two scenarios for the old Aurora to Chicago route in Train Simulator, I've never really liked that add-on because it's an underwhelming recreation of Metra's busiest line. In this video I'll be talking about the 'BNSF' and 'Heritage Corridor' lines, as well as presenting my case for why I think they should be added in Train Sim World 3.
The original TS Classic version of 'The Racetrack' has been out for seven years now and, sufficed to say, it has not aged well. The route has sub-par scenery and no variation in commuter rolling stock (all you get is the F40PH-3 and Nippon-Sharyo 'Gallery' cars, along with the BNSF GP38-2).

Not to mention that most of the crossings CLEARLY show E bells on the gates, yet they use those pathetic M-bell sounds instead and IRL, the bells actually turn off automatically as soon as the sensor detects a train on the block of the crossing. The locomotives assigned on the line in the TSC version are 112, 116, 117, 119, & 122. However, 113 was also assigned years back, but is currently used on the Union Pacific lines for extra trains as Metra wants to expand schedules for most lines. Some trains on the BNSF also use Amerail equipment.

I agree. Plus, the speed limits around Chicago Union Station are inaccurate. I also think the BNSF line in the game should be extended west to Galesburg, IL from Aurora.

I'd rather have the Metra electric personally, though I'm biased cause I live on it! It also has freight (CN's Chicago inter-modal is on the line) and amtrak services. AND also the south shore line! in general TSW is way overdue for a midwest route so I keep my fingers crossed im surprised you don't like the scenery in the Racetrack for TSC, I think the depiction of Chicago's skyline is absolutely perfect and the rest is pretty good. not the highest fidelity but 100% captures the vibes as you go from skyscrapers to apartments to bungalows to suburbs
