I get that power isn't everything, but the Cascade's power seems to be real. It has such a huge effect even at T2 it's insane.

if the power is just a number and it goes up but nothing else goes up then its only a number... if stats like dmg and hull health go up with that power then the power difference is WOW and that is what Rev is talking about :)

sup Rev! ops 35 from server 89 (shout to Black Nova). I have yet to unlock the Cascade, but I've had my eye on it. my Ent is making pretty decent inroads into the 2-star Q trials, I've gotten the first batch of Cascade shards in each trial. I'd honestly be surprised if it took me until into the 40s to get that done. 100% agree with going back to hit old trials for the protomatter, as soon as I was able to complete the 1-stars, it was like obtaining a free trial-bell-to-protomatter converter.

Ops 35 t6 ent can get you the metreon cascade. Crewing helps a ton. Almost done with the 2 star trails

I have left the Metreon Cascade at t1 because I have pushed my Dual Photon Warheads, S21 Torpedo Pods, Control Seeker Probes, and my Ferengi Whip up to level 57 (Turns out that levels are capped depending on how far you push your Qs trials.) These make it so I am getting hundreds of tier up catalysts a day and the whip makes it so leveling whatever FT is pretty inexpensive, yes they are paid but they have fairly high boosts that while not as good as a maxed Metreon Cascade are still sizable. I also picked up the Tarka weapon and I have gotten it up to t2 so I am getting 2k iso artifact tokens a day, it looks like once the initial purchase $$ of that FT has been made the drip has no additional cost.

Ops 54 here. I have my metteon cascade at t6. Will likely take it up another tier at t7 before I start working on another FT to have 2 ships that would have FT to help on higher end wave rounds.

Even if you just get it to Tier 3 with the 950%dmg to hostiles bonus, it's incredibly powerful. I use it on an already broken Enterprise (G3) and it makes PvE content so delightful. Literally shredding Q trials eight to ten times its own power.

I'm level 39 and have 117 of the 200 needed to unlock the cascade. I do not have a enterprise or d4 yet and have been doing them with a voyager. I can almost hit a trial that is twice my power put have yet to see a swarm or probe trial that i can't beat.

Great question! I would say this, even though Scopely is being stubborn about sharing details, there is sourcing now for Chapel which is really good. But if you're within Tier 5 of the cascade, that would be hard form to resist!

It's not a vast majority. But yes, it does take time (about 1-1.5 years pure f2p, but we're also talking about a game going into it's 6th year).

So I have a question regarding the Orion cascade and common fragments. Currently I have 21/50 needed. And 41 common fragments. I have 1 remaining 1* Q trial left which will give me 40 more common fragments. 41+40 =81. I can get 1 shard for 3 fragments, 2 for 6 and 5 for 15. Would I have enough fragments to get the remaining 29 shards I need to get Orion unlocked? Or is it not worth it?

how far into q-trials do you need get to have 100% upgrade on rares and for epics i have hit the wall on Q-Trials T2 before the first metreon cascade one have a centi with 2.6mil power and my current rare FT Control Seeker Probes is T4 LV16 and favours is at 69.2% i need that higher to go to the next level and tiers

My metreon cascade is level 5 tier 1😆. I’m too busy upgrading the borg alcove for my Voyager. It takes too many tier up catalysts to upgrade the cascade.

good luck getting the upgrade mats for the building or the items though. that drip is painfully slow to the point its easy to figure whats the point. Not discovery slow mind.. but still slow. Its also easy to forget about doing as a daliy or at least it has been for me.

I have been working on my Q trials for both 1* and 2*. That's 6 trials available to me. I'm at Ops 27. I've maxed out two of 1* trials and was repeating them. However, the hostiles change and I now have five of the six trials with an 8m power Swarm to beat (that's across both the 1* and 2* trials). That seems out of whack to me when you consider that my daily is for a Lv28 Swarm that has a power of 605k. I can't beat them no matter what I do. Any thoughts? Is it a game glitch?

Not on when everyone runs Armadas and waves, haven't done Wave since release because of this and I don't have the patience to run 5 waves solo just for an event. Same issue with TC as I am not online during the window for TC in the systems my alliance choose. I haven't seen a TC since the Season 1 event that ruined it all.

How many people are in your alliance? If you can get in an active alliance of 50 people or higher you should be find enough and randoms to get waves done.

I am using same ships and crews, i have gone up 1 ops this week and has done so much building, research, and upgraded officers and ships my millions past two weeks, but still the needle keeps going a little and down. Bro I just unlocked my MC at lvl 38 with a maxed out B'rel using only Relentless Assault..just finally got the Cerritos 4 days ago and have upgraded MC a bit to 400% damage, still have a way to go with it but I have 108 D4 bps now so I should be getting that soon, I didn't even want it but I learned I need a *3 epic before I hit lvl 40 so I just started working on unlocking the D4 recently..btw I'm KurnSonOfMogh1 in TFM alliance on S57, swing by and say hey and any ftp tips you have would be greatly appreciated Q'pla!

The catalyst is a worse bottleneck than 3* uncommon gas. My metrion warhead is tier two level 10 not tier three because i need soo much catalyst. Been there since December/January

No forbidden tech is free to play. To make them even remotely usable you need to buy 4 others. The whip and the torpedo fts. Without them you can’t make any progress

Treker not Trekie here. The first is a fan of Star Trek and its ideals. The second was an insult used in the 80s by bullies. Free to play it is very very hard to upgrade the Metron. Worth it though.
