I remember hearing this in a record shop (do you remember them?) and sticking around to the end of the song. Then the next song on the album started and I stayed around for that too. When I was staying around the shop for the third song I thought maybe I should by the CD. The only copy they had in the was the one they were playing and I made them take it out of the player and sell it to me.

I bought a ticket for the gig and to meet the band at the London Roundhouse gig last year and was REALLY looking forward to it, but unfortunately the black dog visited me and I couldn't make it. I didn't listen to their music for months afterwards as it brought back bad memories. It's hard to describe but I really feel the need to say it somewhere. I'm glad things are back to normal now. :)

❤❤ wowww this brings back so many memories!!! Fantasies was out whenever I left Ontario and moved to Alberta with my sister and mom... that decision itself was not a good one. But I saw Metric play at the Saddledome in Calgary it was an awesome experience but I regret that I wasn't sober then... stupid choices. I will see you again and I'll be sober this time. Synthetica is another great song and video. They're all great. Pagans in Vegas also an underrated album. I've always wanted to hear 'The Governess' live. Randomly going through Metrics discography... Jimmy cracks me up 😂 The cigarette is so necessary.

Metric has been a great band for such a long time and have always had a sound that I would really describe as their own. Between the vocals and the sound of the band its such a great compliment. Makes me wonder if they ever played with a group like Mates Of State another unique group who I actually have seen live a few times and they always were great. Still haven't seen Metric but I will have to make that happen. This song is great just like the rest of their music.
