Metro Awakening Review | "Pulled between being a great VR shooter and a lore critical canon story"

I played Metro 2033 Redux for the first time last night in anticipation to this game's release, and I would like to say that the flat game also has its fair share of talking and exploration. I mean what do you expect, this is a title with an actual story / campaign, something that is missing in VR with all the sandbox shooters and mods.

I think the problem is that game reviewers have become over whelmed by the amount of releases and at the same time have often lost the connection they once had to the average gamer. This the user scores are by far more important than ever in helping us the consumer see if we as a fan of the I.P. or genre will be satisfied with this purchase.

this is rotten cherry picking at its finest. this game is easily one of the best VR games ever and my personal game of the year - and yes I already played it to completion.

This game has the starfeild effect. People going crazy for it until they relise its boring and lackluster. Its better than what we usually get but not a good game.

"it's better than what we usually get" is the only thing that matters though, isn't it? Saying that and then saying it's not a good game is a bit of a contradiction.
