As part of the I-35W/Minnesota State Highway 62 Crosstown Commons and 35W@94: Downtown to Crosstown projects, new median bus stations were installed and refurbished in the middle of I-35W, the north-south roadway spine of Minneapolis. The METRO Orange Line and several rush-hour buses use the HOV lanes and stations in order to provide rapid transportation links between downtown Minneapolis and the southern suburbs.
While not quite BRT due to the HOV lanes being shared with mixed traffic and most of the alignment not having dedicated infrastructure (as well as no level boarding despite the stations being rebuilt from scratch), this is still a critical part of the region's transportation network.
This video features clips from the two median stations and the northern entry ramp. It does not feature footage from the dedicated Orange Line busway around Knox. Unfortunately, due to fairly bad weekend frequencies (most buses along this section are weekday only) and a personal incident that resulted in me stopping filming at the entry ramp prematurely, I don't have that much footage.
