Pretty stupid and he deserved to be fired but charging him with felonies? Cops do much worse than this on a day to day basis and aren't charged with anything at all.

@@khg675bt When cops commit crimes they should be charged. Cops will get caught doing things like driving drunk with concrete evidence but they're allowed to go home without being tested so the case against them is weaker. Meanwhile there are countless examples of cops arresting people for DUI when they have nothing in their system.

The absence of A "NATIONAL REGISTRY" of fired and resigning heroes to escape decertification shows "strong disdain" against taxpayers! The truth is police encounters rarely if ever benefit the taxpayer! - USMC (Semper Fidelis) SGT E-5 (5811)

Wait, if he was on duty he could commit any other crime, abuse process, break the rules, KILL PEOPLE, and is protected by "qualified immunity". So why doesn't he get that now? I can understand why he was fired and I'm not saying he doesn't deserve the charges. It's just funny how the state is willing to write cops a blank cheque to do whatever to the public, who they supposedly protect and serve, but then if the state suffers somehow then suddenly it's serious, no qualified immunity, go straight to jail, do not pass go.
@khg675bt11 күн бұрын
Are you watching too much TV. Cops are not the enemy and some members of the public happen to be some not so nice people but the those people will only tell you what they want you to hear.
@kevinc86510 күн бұрын
Ummm maybe cause cops are humans first which equals people n kinda self explanatory after that part. Jsy people truly do some eye brow raising questionable things.

@@khg675bt I am not saying all cops are bad, I'm not some BLM "defund the police" activist. But some police do bad things, and others are merely incompetent. Everyone should have consequences for breaking the law, including police officers. However, they have "qualified immunity", which means they can say "I was just doing my job and made a mistake" when they make an oopsie like killing someone who turns out to be the wrong suspect and things like that. I believe qualified immunity needs to be reviewed and downgraded because sometimes cops deserve more accountability than they get.

@@kevinc865 cops are humans, so are you and me. So what's the difference? Shouldn't we all have to obey the same laws?

Had he waited until his shift was over and he changed his clothes, he wouldn't have committed a felony and disgraced his uniform.

That's obvious. However the impact of the scene was that she is being pulled over by a policeman for the scene. Not a plain clothes person.

@@someoneelse6934 Yes, if it was sexual assault or something of that nature, then yes. But the video was staged, meaning he was on duty with a person. If you listen to what the news said, a woman who staged the event with him, that is why his arrest is confusing. Him being fired makes perfect sense, but him being arrested, they're just doing too much.
@davidortaga13549 күн бұрын
@@trublacking8572 Simple Google search could've helped you with your question to why he was arrested for felony official misconduct - "Improper and/or illegal acts by a public official which violate his/her duty to follow the law and act on behalf of the public good". With all the news with cops being arrested for sexual assault against women as of recently I wouldn't trust him to ever be a cop and charging him with a felony assures that never happns.
