Metroid 1 on the SNES might be the best Metroid game in the series. [Fun CLASSIC: 12/06/23]

OK RWO obvious flaws with this video... This is showing a NINTENDO gameplay of the ORIGINAL METROID but the map screen is showing the SUPER METROID on the Super Nintendo... Going to say both games kind of play the same save the difference? Like playing checkers versus CHESS. The gameplay? He is showing NOTHING but the class NINTENDO GAME METROID so? Saying Metroid on the SNES is false as it is Metroid on the NES, lose the SUPER as Nintendo was the eight bit system and the game being shown shows it but Metroid was also on the Super Nintendo system and renamed? SUPER METROID... I'm so shocked by the title change, psych as I am not but? Super Metroid was definitely a HUGE jump form the original Metroid so it definitely earned the Super title. Just like Mario Brothers took a HUGE leap to SUPER Mario brothers, granted the Nintendo version did start out with Super... but the Super Nintendo system's answer to that? Tag on WORLD and damn it worked like a charm. Better yet the Super Nintendo systems made the original Super Mario look simple (cause in reality? It IS!) but expanded on the gameplay so much with much more diverse levels yet MOSTLY played just like the originals? Many a gameplayers MINDS were blown away. Kinda sad actually but sense game systems hit the 128 bit era? Gameplay lost a LOT of it's charm. Suddenly looking better trumped out PLAYING better. Eight bit systems were designed for play cause looking good wasn't in the cards. 16 bit systems started showing what REAL gaming is like with decent graphic and sound but FORCED to work with limited memory from cartridges. Then Sony Playstation BROKE the damn with awesome graphics and sound running off of CHEAP CD's with superior memory over cartridges, granted EASILY scratched CDs. But despite being a Playstation fan? I will admit the Super Nintendo was actually more fun to play. Then they made a mistake and showed me the N 64 to down play my still fav Playstation and screw up when I saw the CONTROLLER. This does NOT look like a Super Nintendo controller which I fell in love with which made falling in love with the Playstation EASY as it's controller was the Super Nintendo's save TWO extra shoulder buttons. Know what? You GOT to feel stupid when you come up with one of the BEST controllers, give it up as your competitors copy it it a minor improvement and win a nice chunk of their base as I? As a nice chunk of their base? JUMPED ship simply looking at the N 64 controller. I mean really look at it compared how simple the Sony controller was. Make a controller multifunctional depending how you grab it? Cool idea but bad execution if you don't know if you fan base WILL ACCEPT IT. A lot said nope, not even willing to try it. But I'm just A view... so many will disagree with mine save to say MINE is the MOST IMPORTANT IN MY VIEW cause actually? We are all designed that way. So I AM right in my my own view just as YOU are to in your own. Least with games? It's just gamers arguing and nobody dies over this? But THEM whom BLAMED gaming for their actions? That is exactly what happened. I played DOOM... that's WHY I'm killing people... BULLSHIT. Killing in a game is simply PLAYING a game but killing in life IS NO GAME WHAT SO EVER as you are EXTREMELY AWARE in life? THERE IS NO RESTART and pain IS REAL. Sorry as I'm kind of all round the place but vodka kind of does that to yea and I've been enjoying a little too much. 😁😁 But don't disregard what I said cause drunk or not? Am being honest and most likely too honest for my own good. That IS actually a drunks WORST problem is what we say is BEST left unsaid. But I'll make an exception for gaming as some of our latest titles DO make for nightmare fuel in mortalities when in the end despite HOW graphic? ALL gamer DO realize it is JUST A GAME. I do make ONE exception... pornographic games as it isn't gameplay that is damaging you... it's the 'adult' contexts that actually are as it drives to the one drive strongest in all of us and one that shouldn't be... taken advantage of... as it takes a lot of growing up to 'properly' handle it and even then? STILL DAMAGING save now you keep it contained within yourself. If this sounds unhealthy... it IS.

@@Blueeyedmerle Aside from the map (which is appreciated) it is the exact same game. No graphical updates, no bug fixes, no other QoL considerations. In what universe would this be the "best in the series"??
