Escue is the hardest boss in the game. Raven beak is manageable because he actually telegraphs his attacks and has somewhat of a pattern you can get down. I only died once to Raven Beak before googling his second form and then proceeding to just wipe the floor with rest of him second try. Escue on the other hand has completely random patterns and doesn't really follow the rules that a boss should. He's fast, hits hard, doesn't telegraph his attacks, and doesn't have a pattern. He's absolutely brutal.

Idk in dread mode kraid was harder than escue for me, also escue once you learn how to dodge his storm missle things he is pretty managable.

Escue is actually pretty easy once you learn to position yourself and bait his attacks. That experiment x57 or whatever it was called took me forever to beat easily the hardest for me

You're technically shooting for Gorzuna's face in the back while avoiding getting smashed by the rear end which is mostly up in front of you.

If you want a quicker fight against Raven Beak phase 2, combine your charge shots or missiles with cross bombs. If I'm not mistaken, this trick will help Phase 2 go by much quicker.

I do that already. I should try a Power Bomb, though. Aside from extinguishing the Sun he launches into the air during Phase 3.

3:45 How do you get the gravity suit and on top of it all the screw attack before the flying electric bug boss fight?! I’m on normal mode bcuz I just got the game and it’s my first play through and I’m currently on the experiment no. z-57 boss fight and I don’t have screw attack yet so I’m wondering how can you get it so early!? 🤔💭

If you're taking sequence breaking and low% runs into account, you're ignoring the normal boss difficulty for 90% of players. Title should mention that. Also Screw Attack does heavy damage to Robochozo.

Honestly a decent point, I've added that to the end of the title and to the description, I tried to mention when the difficulty made a significant change to the list like with Escue and Elsa. That's true but I found I couldn't hit them more than once or twice with screw attack without taking contact damage from the Robo Chozo so I didn't mention it, small oversight! haha

ok! From reddit as promised. Intro is great, you say EXACTLY what you are going to do, makes me prepared to watch it. Audio is good!tone of voice is engaging. Transitions are good, but they are the same tone as the rest of the video, id try changing that (why?) because it breaks the flow and reengages viewers. THUMBNAIL delivers what is promised and is clickable!

I don't understand how EMMI 05-IM (blue emmi) was listed higher than ANY of the others. Sure, it damages you when it "detects" you, but it can't actually detect you. No matter how obviously close you are to 05, it never enters the chase phase, so you can just walk out on it. I would go as far as to say that it's easier than EMMI 04-SB (yellow emmi). Meanwhile, I'm pretty sure the central units are what powers the EMMI, which is why 05 and 06's abilities are disabled while you have the Omega cannon.

from a Boss Rush perspective Escue would be at the top and the experiment in 2nd place only because he takes so long even if you do the counter 2 times (I know you can shine spark him but I suck at that) and then Raven Beak since even if you mess up with his big attacks you can constantly heal during phase 1 and 3 and phase 2 only consists of 4 moves where the only one you can easily mess up is the timing of the machine gun as you explained, all the other bosses quickly become a joke that even a dum dum who hasn't touched the game in months can start to no damage run without even noticing it (seriously, dum dum, it took me like 30 seconds to remember how to use the grapple beam)

i died like 10 times to raven beak with 899 energy 135 missiles and 5 power bombs because i cant dodge to save my life and when i ducked under his winged charge attack i thought the hitbox was to big so i jumped and got it like 25% of the time and i never realised 1 target of storm missiles = 1 ice missile so i was mainly spamming storm missiles

I've only done normal mode thus far, 2 separate runs (one for fun and one for under 4 hours). I wonder if your ranking would be the same on the new Dread mode? I'm gonna list my thoughts as I watch your video because you have a cool format and a good narration voice! - Really liked your names lol especially Samsung the white EMMI. I'll probably borrow that name from now on. I always just call the EMMI by their colors, but your names are much more fun. - I find it difficult to know where to rank EMMI on a Dread boss list, tbh. They're not really bosses so much as walking 1 hit KOs. But I can understand why you'd include them. - However, I'm gonna disagree that the central unit "brother brains" are harder than Samsung. After all, Samsung is a 1 hit KO if caught and the central units are not, plus each central unit gradually has more health and has a completely separate room set up in terms of the missiles and red Cheerios. But I suppose it's easier to accidentally get hit by them on a Dread mode no hit run. So I'd say the first few central units are pretty pathetically easy, but the last 2 central units could probably accidentally fuck someone up on a low% run with no health upgrades. Especially if you don't know that you can shine spark and screw attack them. - I'd probably have separated the different types of Chozo X. There's the default (2x), the red version (2x), and the gold elite (1x). That's 5 different battles of 3 types, which is definitely repetitive, but at least the red and gold have shields plus the projectile goo attacks. - I was initially surprised that you ranked the ice missile blue EMMI above the wave beam purple EMMI. The purple is, IMO, by far the worst. The arena has way too many water rooms, and you won't have the gravity suit yet without sequence breaks. By contrast, the ice EMMI cannot chase you down after it hits you with the ice missiles. The purple EMMI will probably chase you once you're stunned in place. But I agree that on low% with no health upgrades, the blue EMMI could be worse. But in the new Dread mode, a single hit from either will kill you equally lol. So in this new Dread mode, they're probably both equally hard/bad. - It's definitely an orange EMMI once you compare it with the red Chozo X boss from before. Also, the power bomb blocks in game are slightly orange too. - Twin Chozo robot soldiers are my least favorite boss in the game. They gave me such a headache on my casual run. But you can easily skip the Burenia twin Chozo robot soldiers if you take a different path to a teleporter after screw attack, so you only have to fight these guys once in Ferenia on a run otherwise. - The experiment boss seems so annoying to fight on Dread mode or a low% run. I can't imagine the headaches lol. - I'd imagine that low% Raven Beak is much harder than a casual run, simply because you have no extra health or missiles. However, on my 2 runs, I learned that it's pretty easy to not get hit at all by him in Phase 1 and Phase 3. Phase 2 was, IMO, by far the hardest because he doesn't drop any extra health or missiles here. He also flies, sponges hits, and lasts forever. But he's a cool character and a great final boss.

Thanks for your in-depth comment! Yeah I think doing my ranking based solely on low% was a bit of a mistake but watchya gonna do lol. In a normal run the order would probably be a little different, the lack of many bosses in the game is what made me add the EMMI as well. It was definitely tough to decide how to combine the repeat bosses, many ways to do it all! Experiment Z and Raven Beak definitely took the longest to beat! And agreed the Chozo Robots were a pain as well, they are weirdly fast and two of them is hard to keep track of

Chozo soldiers are incredibly easy, I suspect you are doing something wrong against them. I bet you will change your placement of them to easiest after a few more playthroughs.

Imo Raven beak was a hard boss, but easy to master the fight and feel comfortable with this fight but the double robotchozo still racks the hell out of me

I don’t know if I’m just a god at this game but I think Raven Beak is one the easiest bosses in the game. On my very first play through I beat him in one try, and I still do it pretty consistently.
