Look at it this way. She discovers the X, like the Metroids, have somehow managed to survive off world, was almost constantly stalked by easily reprogrammable bad-touch murderdroids that were for some reason made out of almost indestructible material, once again was forced to face off against a morbidly obese space pirate commander who she’d thought long dead, all culminating in Darth Rodan thoroughly kicking her ass and having the nerve to claim parentage even though the deadbeat motherfucker put in zero work in helping Old Bird and Grey Voice raise her. Her going super saiyan by the end and screaming in incoherent rage is understandable. The prime games are canon after all, so by this point she’s gotta be getting tired of this shit.

Not only that, but she literally became what she wanted to destroy from the beginning of the series and is now the most dangerous woman in the galaxy. I really want to see what they're going to do with her character from now onward after Dread.

Samus was freaking brutal in this game. Other 2D Metroids feel like Megaman with more exploration, but Samus was just angry for most of the game especially as her powers became more obvious. Even though she had a palm of death the only thing she was missing was a chainsaw for the comparison since her arm cannon had a whole arsenal in it already.

Oh god, I just realized a Doom Eternal Style Metroid Prime would be FUCKING AWESOME. They'd have to tone down the carnage and ramp up the word design but that style of Metroid game would absolutely work in 3d, about the closest analogue to the way the 2D games currently work.

I thought to myself... Samus in smash bros. Has had the same move set and items since the 1st smash bros. And metroid has never really been popular, so nintendo left her in the dust. Until this game... it's been 19 years since an official metroid game came into the time line. So hopefully because of this samus, Samus gets all the new suit variations from dread, like the blue and white power suit, and orange and white varia suit, and the dope looking gravity suit. With 3 metroid prime 4 skins in the new smash bros. PLUS her items would get updated in the new smash bros, from slow basic homing missles to storm missles, super missle to ice missle, they could even add the flash shift as a move she can use as long as she keeps fighting it'll recharge her aeion, so she can use the flash shift. But if you stay still and spam her projectiles your aeion won't recharge. And maybe she could finally get a counter because of her new counter abilities from samus returns and dread. And last but not least, basic morph ball bombs to cross bombs. What do you guys think??? Should Samus' move set and arsenal get an update just like Link did from breath of the wild?!?

Personally, I think that in terms of utility, most of her kit is fine (I personally think Bombs suck tho, she should have a better Down Special). Mainly, I think her new moves being implemented should be more of a visual thing. Her dodge roll animation looking like the Flash Shift, her Block Parry looking like it does in Dread, her suits being the default (White and Orange varia for default, blue Dread suit for blue, Dread's Gravity Suit for purple, etc. For everything else), and her Final Smash being instead of charging up a Zero Laser, she absorbs energy from the background or something to turn into her Metroid Suit and fire a Hyper Beam that works like a Zero Laser... only cooler.

@@BootsThaRareBirb lol yes 😆 you're good bro! Just look up here on KZbin, Samus recovery. You basically end up using the bombs like downward steps to descend back onto the stage. Also you can use them at the edge of the map when someone's trying to get back on, to stop then from grabbing the edge. And you can also use them when someone has you stuck in a combo, they'll stop the combo or help you get out of it, and you can also use them if you run away real quick from your opponent, run away and quickly drop a trail of bombs and it pisses people off 😂 But yeah the bombs are dope! 😎

I hated the linearity of this game a lot. Like a *whole* lot. I kept thinking to myself: "This isn't metroid. This is awful. I'm shown how to beat bosses before each fight and I'm hard locked into exploring where they want me to explore." ... But In spite of this. This might be the best damn metroid since super. The immersion, the character design, the INCREDIBLY smooth and abundant gameplay mechanics. This was utterly amazing from start to finish. There better be a sequel. And soon.

There’s definitely a guiding hand in the background of this game. (Which actually sort of fits, given this is all a setup by Ashkar Behek) but if you know what you’re doing, there are ways to go around the intended path.
