Metroid from a new Perspective | Metroid Prime (Wise Review)

Metroid is back! With the Metroid Prime 4 being free from the shadow realm. It's time we pick up where we left off. We've already looked at the 2D Metroid games, but now it's time to take a look at the series jump into the third dimension, a whole generation later than most... at least it was faster than Kirby. So let's look at where Metroid's 3D ventured started with Metroid Prime on the Gamecube. Enjoy!

You should play through Prime 1 and 2 on the Trilogy copy for the Wii! Play with the Wii controls!!! It sounds crazy, I know, but hear me out. I played Metroid Prime 3 first and got really familiar with the aim mechanics, and some of the problems you mention for Prime GC are almost entirely mitigated (or rather, replaced with other problems... haha!). Aiming up in Prime Wii is an entirely different type of skillshot, rather than button tech-skill it really is aim skill.

10:00 I think you're supposed to use the thermal visor for that invisible enemy fight. Or is that before you get that visor? It's been so long since I've played, I don't remember that fight or which icon represents which visor.

First time seeing your channel. I like the vids. I think if you were to up the production quality you could really take off. More eye catching thumbnails, better camera and recording quality, all that stuff. Personally I don't mind what you got going on and will be watching your next releases. Takes me back to the earlier days of youtube. But people these days are spoiled with bigger channels having the best cameras, mics, capture cards, etc. Its unfortunate because all that stuff is expensive and someone making videos as a hobby doesn't necessarily have access to that stuff. Regardless, I'm looking forward to the prime 2 vid. Any plans for hunters?

This video took me back to the release of Prime. I lost my shit when Super Metroid got announced. Just like people loosing their shit over Prime 4. After I finished Super Metroid I was foaming at the mouth for more. I couldn't wait for Metroid on the N64. Month after month I checked the gaming magazines. After years of waiting Metroid was announced on Gamecube. I was 10 when I played Metroid on the NES. I was 18 when I played Super Metroid. I remember going to Gamestop the day Prime came out. My memory is fuzzy but something big was releasing on the PS2. Might have been a Final Fantasy game. I was the only person in line that got Prime. I had to go to work so I couldn't play it until I got home. At first I didn't like it. It wasn't Metroid to me. I didn't get into the Prime series until Echo's. I gave it a second chance. Long story short. I love Echo's and after playing it I gained an appreciation for Prime. The more time went by the more and more of I like Prime Trilogy. I'm 47 now and I can't wait for Prime 4.

I always felt it was such a shame there was never a Metroid prime title on the N64, Metroid Prime Hunters on the DS shows that it probably could have been done, Nintendo really missed a good opportunity. Alternatively Nintendo could have went the castlevania symphony of the night route instead and just made another really crisp and well made 2d Metroid game like super Metroid, but Nintendo was determined to leave 2D behind entirely at that time and went all in on 3D games. I will never understand why Nintendo never considered releasing a Metroid game on the n64 but greenlit something like the 3rd party trash fire that is superman on the n64 to be released when it should have been tossed in the bin.
