The recent Nintendo Direct just revealed a new Metroid, a new Legend of Zelda game, and a Marvel vs. Capcom collection. The Nintendo Direct recap includes reveals like the Zelda Echoes of Wisdom trailer. The Metroid Prime 4 trailer. The Marvel vs Capcom Collection. Xbox showcase showed games 'coming 2025 ' (possible delay) and barely showed any gameplay to counteract bad press of studio closures. Although state of play wasn't as good as Nintendo direct it showed mostly games releasing this year

It originated on Wii. The 3DS version made Golden Temple into a full world and added more stages to fill that gap. Those are the new stages being added here that weren't in the Wii game.

I borrowed xmen children of the atom from a friend for Saturn.... and it by far was one of the coolest fighting games i ever played at the time. All the colors the flashing and movment on screen can fight in the air. Each character has their own Ultra/fatality type move. Im hyped to learn this. Yall have a great day. Guardian out

IDK about that. They announced it with a Switch logo, and Nintendo doesn't usually change once they've announced a platform. I'm thinking it'll be either be cross-gen or will get a re-release on Switch 2 later on.

@@rpg_havenI bet it’s both. Most of Nintendo’s recent systems have launched with a cross gen first party game. Twilight Princess for GCN/Wii, BotW for Wii U/Switch. Metroid Prime 4 will have the Switch version that was shown and most likely a Switch 2 version with higher resolution and maybe some added lighting.

Pretty happy about Donkey Kong HD and a new Zelda game, Prime 4 while I'm sure it will be a solid game was pretty underwhelming. I wanted Prime 4 to be Metroid's BOTW moment that pushes the franchise forward with something new and fresh, but instead the gameplay looks exactly like it did 20+ years ago, graphics more or less look the same as Prime Remaster and they are even re-using the same music and sound effects. for a 7 year wait I expected better, this feels like it could've come out 5 or 6 years ago

I didn't watch the direct but saw a fww of the trailers. I think Zelda looks neat, but I wasn't into anything else. I was also very surprised by how boring Metroid looked. I'm sure it's has deeper gameplay, but the trailer was bad.

Unfortunately i cant get hyped for Mario and Luigi. All of the games were childhood core memories for me. Im hoping the gameplay will be fun but the art style just isnt it for me :( At least the Game Series is still alive

the DKC game is not a remake of the SNES original game, it's a HD remaster of DKC Returns on Wii, which is one of the most underrated game of the system in my opinion. I think it is a better and more challenging platformer than Tropical Freeze.

This was the most Meh direct ive ever watched. NES speedrunning game looks cool. Zelda game looks cool. Metroid looked very Meh but whatever its early. Rest of it was pure filler and obviously pushed the "good" stuff to switch 2. We will have to wait for a new "good" mario.

Great to see that Fantasian, Ace Attorney Investigations Collection, and Dragon Quest HD 2D are coming to Xbox, but the lack of Romancing SaGa 2 Remake and and The Hundred Line The Last Defense on Xbox (the latter of which also isn't coming to PlayStation, either) is disappointing. Especially Romancing Saga, seems like Square is still up with their BS again despite committing to release more games on Xbox a year ago. But at least the other three Square games are coming to Xbox, I guess. Also, personally don't care about this game, but the lack of Marvel vs Capcom Collection on Xbox is baffling. Capcom continues to arbitrarily skip Xbox with the most nonsensical of decisions. There is no logical reason why The Great Ace Attorney Chronicles wouldn't make financial sense to release on Xbox, but Ace Attorney Investigations does. Same with that Mega Man Battle Network collection skipping Xbox. What tf is wrong with Capcom? At this point, SEGA and Atlus support Xbox more consistently with almost all of their games than Capcom does with their smaller games.

I was a Nintendo fan until tha wii came along.switched to the 360 back then .the Metroid games were always 10 out of 10 games on snes and GameCube.and when i see gameplay for the new one,i say great but visual wise it looks like a gamecube game with better lighting and some refections.but i'm shure gameplay wil be great

Like the design elements and atmosphere and all that, just looks like it's running on lower end hardware than the 360, other than resolution. How long has this game been in the oven for? If I remember correctly Halo and the og Prime came out he same year. The Space Pirates in the Prime series have had different designs in each game. However the design of them in Prime 4 are the ones from the original game.

Man what really sucks is thay the new Metroid prime game is coming out this late in the switch's life... These people waited for so long.... For a game to be stuck on the switch rigjt before new hardware comes out. Forever held back by this system. Sad, really.

I think it will be on both old and new switch. But also I think they made prime remastered to test what they could achieve on switch, and what art style they wanted to aim for. So it will be on a similar benchmark to that. And that game looked really great.

@@Nonx47 I actually think it will be the opposite. I think the game is better because of the limited scope. Even from the trailer you can tell it fits right in with the rest of the trilogy. It feels like more metroid prime. Almost as if they could have made it on the gamecube. Which could be seen as a bad thing. But when those games were as good as they were, how well they still hold up even today and how long it's been (metroid prime 3 corruption came out in like 2007) its actually really welcome to have it back in the same way we would expect. It's better than them changing it beyond recognition and it losing its identity.

@@DaRkLoRd-rc5yu imagine breathe of the wild on N64. Would it have been better? No. Just because the hardware is better doesn't mean it has to be super complex or overcomplicated. There are just certain things you can do with newer hardware that you could not with prior hardware. It will be forever limited due to the switch, nothing you can say to change that.

@@Nonx47 I don't think breath of the wild felt that limited by the switch though. Yes it could have looked better but gameplay wise it was pretty perfect and pushed limits of what the series had done in the past. Minus the frame rate drops in the forgotten forest, but at least there was no combat in there and it was mostly just a maze that you walked through. And say persona 4 on PS2 or persona 5 on PS3. Both came out on old hardware after the next gen game out but we're still really great games that I don't think had their vision compromised.
