Only Tomar is old. Fun fact: Zach is actually Tomar's offspring. He began as one of the shaplier growths on Tomar's back, but got left in his first test tube too long and got squished up against the side, which is where he gets his iconic voice. When Tomar fades away to ash, Zach will grow a beard and take his place, and none of us will even notice.

When they talk about game reviews: I think the issue is that you can tactfully write a negative review, but so many of these "games journalism" sites refuse to do that. Instead, they try to bait clicks. These sensationalist reviews is what then gets them blacklisted by gaming companies from handing out their review copies. Kotaku was one of the sites that spoke up about this---They CLAIMED it was because they reviewed games critically, but in reality they leaked a TON of "behind closed doors" information they weren't supposed to. Look to things like the DOOM review even, where the journalist is literally making a total fool of themselves & making the game look bad what appears to be purposefully. Meanwhile, that game is legitimately one of, if not, THE best game that year. I haven't seen A SINGLE "games journalism" company/site/publication that releases tactful reviews get blacklisted by these companies. Hell---ACG Reviews is usually incredibly honest in his videos, but doesn't just come out to make the game look bad for clicks like a site like Kotaku does.

Lost Planet 2 for Steam still works. You just have to download an outdated version of Games for Windows software to get it to run and it takes like 40 minutes to make the initial connection but after that not bad.

Not like it matters anymore since this is a complete compilation, but I tried the VBA emulator for Zero Mission after this and it works perfectly fine even on my shit laptop. Maybe their PC for this was somehow actually too beefy or they just needed a clean re-install of something to un-fuck the FPS?

I think what Tomar said is right. It's possible they are using one of the really accurate emulators that actual emulate slowdown that you would've experienced on the console. It can catch people off guard if they don't remember it but there are a lot of games that slowed down on consoles and a few that actually planned the game around it, so emulating the slowdown is important for the newest and fanciest emulators.

I'm baffled anyone can call Prime 2 boring, or not shoot anything for that long, considering it's the best game in the Prime Trilogy, and also the most difficult game in the series with aggressive enemies and bosses. Maybe if you're lost and don't know where to go next, sure, but even then, the game eventually gives you the next story-important waypoint on the map.

It's not like this is the only instance of Chris complaining about how people describe sound in somewhat abstract ways. From what he has said it seems like he thinks it's a lexikon of nonsense words people have to learn just to act like they're better by using them but it's really just him being stupid. Because it's something that just makes sense to people who can visualize sound a bit better than nothing, I mean most people can say something sounds sad or happy and that's basically the same thing because sounds can't literally be sad or happy but people know what you mean because they can hear it too.
