This is my favorite final boss in any game. It’s so funny and makes me feel like I’m in a Looney Tunes cartoon outwitting and humiliating the big brute of a villain. The fact you fight him as all five heroes makes it feel epic, and the finish is so goofy I smile every time. Literally booted out 😂

The presentation is probably the best part about it, it really is a spectacle fight and can be a bit challenging at times. Probably the hardest part, for me, is getting into Diddy's Jet Barrel because of the precision involved and that damn glove.

This is just comedy gold, while being incredibly intimidating at the same time! Strange how most folks here say two years, because that's how long it took me, but way, way back in that game's heyday. I remember getting it at Wal-Mart in 2000, and finally beating the game in 2002 the first time with a Gameshark, and then the following year without the help of any cheat device. Good old days. I was around 11 when I said "screw it", and got a Gameshark, and then it was an even better feeling when I got to be able to beat it on my own!

I remember when I was around 8 or 9 I had deleted my mothers save file on accident a few years before and I vowed to her I'd do everything and collect everything so she could see the secret ending she could never beat the boss fight and I ended up finally doing it after what seemed like forever when since I was 8 or 9 and garbage at games but I did it and that was a core memory for me one of the happiest moments in my life

The idea is that the bell also signals the beginning and ending of the round. The Kremlings are obviously cheating by ending the round to prevent the referee from reaching 10.

If anything, you could argue the Kongs are straight up cheating throughout this fight. Donkey gets his barrels, Diddy has his jets, Lanky straight up is using banana peels and a musical instrument, Tiny gets her barrel, Chunky gets pads and a barrel. Meanwhile, K.Rool just seems to be using natural abilities.

From the standpoint of the player, it might seem like the fight is rigged in K. Rool's favor, but if you stop to think about it, the truth isn't so black and white. It's 5v1 and every single one of the Kongs get's some sort of special equipment. I'd actually argue that despite the bell shenanigans, the fight is actually rigged in favor of the Kongs. K. Rool is just that strong that he manages to be a formidable boss in spite of each Kong getting 3 melons for themselves and using illegal(if you apply real life logic) equipment and powerups. It's honestly a testament to his strength that he's still alive and not crippled for life after the 12 brutal onslaught of Diddy, Donkey, and Chunky.

My guess is the barrels just pop up in the arena on their own, they're never treated as outsider weapons so it's probably just classified as anything goes. K Rool stopping the fight with the bells and fighting them one after another was his biggest downside. Each Kong wore him down in different ways. Donkey gave him blows to the head, Diddy further blows to the head and blinded him, Lankey had him losing his footing, Tiny shot his toes to further burn out his footing, and Chunky just finishes him off with slams to the ground. Even their cheating couldn't save him, at that point, he was knocked out.

I had this game at 7 years old in 99 took me so many years to try to collect the last banana to finish this game I stopped maybe at 11 years old playing it well in high-school my senior year 2012 I saw on here on KZbin how to pass it I was mad like until this day never passed it sold my 64 and tons of classic games I regret it so much but I loved my childhood with my N64
