many years ago, in art school, on a bus, a bunch 2x4s .. the bus stops. I look over. a guy is unloading a van. he looks up. so familiar. looking at the sign it hits me: M E T R O N O M Y I have to decide. get off the bus. possibly lose my lumber. have nothing to turn in the following day resulting in a failed grade. I was broke and couldn't afford the lost materials plus ticket not even knowing if it was sold out.. I almost cried as the bus pulled away from that dingy corner in allston. ... and I never got to see them again ...... luckily I am a grownup now and bought tickets for later this month. it will be the night before a one year memorial so couldn't come at a better time. long time fan. so glad this is still such a weird, charming, funny group.. favorite
