For me thic clip is about ventilation of stuff... Ventilation of stress from the week, ventilation of long time supressed feelings (expensive holes to bury things, anybody?)... Love how she touches various surfaces, etc. Very subtle and very accurate stuff... Excellent.

the more I watch this (i think like everybody, I've watched it multiple times haha) the more unsettling it is. this is soooooo fucking good I cannot get over it. I think this may be the best video yet and that's saying a lot considering how awesome all the metronomy videos are, particularly the upsetter.

Laurence Winning Actually yes! The minute things start to go weird, the music gets a bit ominous to those paying close attention. The feeling of agitation just rises from beginning to end. As someone who's aging and learning that parties and wild living ain't as great as it used to be (necessitating social lubricants like whatever is in that orange drink) the video really embodies the feeling of anxiety that comes with societal pressures to have "fun." It certainly hits home with me, and I don't presume to know the writer's true intention but in my view, this is NO party anthem. Just one woman's opinion! :)

I love that sinister low swirling bass line, seems like a really good homage to bands like "The Teardrop Explodes" and "A Flock of Seagulls". I love Metronomy more every time I hear them.
