Vlad Jr Definitely looks like he wants to test free agency next year. If i was the Mets I'm not trading for him unless i can lock him up to a new longterm deal. Save those prospects for a pitcher and sign Vlad next year.

First off. No, do not trade for this dude. He would require top young talent and is a rental. 😂 you want to give up the farm for this dude? Come on man..There's zero guarantee he signs next off season 2. Yes, he is younger. But you're looking at double the cost.( Plus we got a high potential player in the farm system.) But i mean, it's vlad jr. Hes head and shoulders better than Pete right?! Well.. no. In 6 less AB for their careers. Pete has 66 more HR. 78 more RBIs. More runs, more walks. Pretty much all the categories that actually matter in baseball. Because last i watched. The purpose is to drive in runs and score. 😂 Is Vlad Jr a better overall player? Sure. But to pretend Pete is trash conpared to him is fucking stupid.

Pete IS trash compared to him. He's a .200 hitter who hits singles when he isnt spreading out 30 homers over a whole season. He's 30 and is going to hit that decline fast once that bat speed slows even a fraction.
