Where does this notion that Randle doesn't fit in come from? Again - the Knicks went 12-2 with Randle and OG in the lineup before Randle got hurt. And, one of those losses was without Brunson. So, they were 12-1 last year when Brunson, Randle, and OG all played.

I get Mike dislikes Randle, but if the Knicks could get a good deal back they would've traded him years ago now. He's not garnering what his production is worth on the market, and he worked really well with the team before getting hurt last year. Take emotion out of it. No real reason to think it won't work with him and he's as productive as most at his position.

His story about Bellamy and Willis Reed is, as he pointed out,was so try. Bellamy was a 7ft 20pts per game center. A star. But he slowed them down. I saw the first game after they traded him and moved Reed from forward to center. Every thing seemed to have sped up and away they went. The core, Frazier-Debucherre-Reed-Bradley-Phil Jackson ended up with 2 championships. Chemistry. There was also Dick Barnett and Jerry Lucas and Earl Monroe.

They need to ditch Verdugo if they can get Dominguez back in the line-up if Stanton is healthy and taking up the DH role. It's not only that he isn't hitting, he's hitting into double plays and just doesn't make productive outs by putting the ball in the air. The bullpen to me is the biggest issue because there's literally nothing I like out of it. Tonkin is literally it. Kahnle is reliable but I don't see him as a high leverage guy, just a dependable arm. They need to get a lefty in the bullpen and a guy who is a defined closer. It's as simple as that. Ferguson is no different than Gonzalez. He hasn't distinguished himself as anything better than replacement level. I don't like Gil going to the pen because I don't think disrupting his development as a starter is smart and I think it strains his arm pitching more often at max effort in fewer innings. The rotation is what it is. Gil needs to fix his mechanics because we can see his arm slot dropping and that makes him get under the ball which elevates his pitches and makes his "change-up" run off of or over the middle of the plate. His follow through is off too and you see him yank a lot of his fastball when they aren't riding up. As bad as his starts have been, his outing last night featured some really good sliders which is a huge plus. Maybe he needs rest at the break because the mechanical issues really look like fatigue. Not necessarily enough where he needs to be shit down, he just needs to be nurtured during this stretch and accumulate innings at a slower rate. The line up is lmao. Im fine with Volpe hitting leadoff until after the break to hopefully correct his issues but the fact he has the third-highest OBP on the team is a joke. Wells has looked great the last few weeks with a 350 OBP or so and a 258 average. I'd like to see him get more shots hitting fifth. I wouldn't object to seeing Rice get someooks at lead off. I know that means 3 lefties in a row if Verdugo then hits sixth but beggars cant be choosers. They desperately need a corner infielder though. Third base. Depending on how Rice goes, first can be a platoon but I don't think DJ or Waldo are anything but back ups at this point. We need a third baseman who can produce runs. Hell, we need that everywhere in the infield. There's not above league average hitter in our infield. Volpe can be excused given the defensive value but it makes no sense to have corner infielders who are slugging above league average at the very least.

The main reason the Yankees went full throttle winning games in the last three months was the mediocre teams they successfully triumphant. It's disheartening the inflicted and pitied Bombers are limping on crunches like wounded soldiers just returning from a combating war. It's time for Yankee fans to realize that our beloved team again will fizzle for the 15th time after 2009 and the Orioles win the division, let alone the mere possibility for the Yanks to win a Wild Card. The team looks lifeless and unrejuvenated, while Judge and Soto have had a monster year with their offense successes. But they alone couldn't take over the reins as saviors to rely on savaging the team's defuncting performances to head toward the postseason. Russo's on his way out as a player, Torres is sadly pitiful, LeMahieu is embarrassingly atrocious, Verdugo as the outfielder was outstanding until he injured his back from a defense play, and Volpe hasn't been the same after performing his DiMaggio's quality-like-hit streaks. It isn't worth talking about the starting and bullpen lineups only to mention that Cole needs additional rehab to get his pitching prose effective again. What it comes down to, as painful as it goes that the Yankees won't advance to the postseason because their starting and batting lineups don't have the fortitude of World Championship contenders😭. But there are positive and negative outtakes after the regular season concludes: Aaron Judge again wins his MVP accolade, and Juan Soto will leave the Bronx and be brought by an affluent owner for big bucks. (likely the owner would be the Mets' Cohen) Coming September will be 15 years since the Yankees won the pennant. Oy vey!!!!🤦🏼♀
