Cora can manage a pen, knows when to pull his pitchers, the Red Sox outside of Duran, Devers, maybe Wong aren’t that good they’re just better managed.

The Yankees saw their Lead-Off hitter and he was in a Reds Uniform. Jonathan India would be perfect for the Yankees at the Lead-off Spot. If the Yankees could acquire India and let him play 2B every day. And then you can move Gleybar Torres for some arms. Whether another starter or maybe a bullpen arm. India was the NL Rookie of the Year a few years ago... He would thrive in Pinstripes.

I do not care at all for Soto's antics when he gets a hit or Home-run, always trying to bring attention to himself, kind of reminds me of the football wide-receiver doing a dance when he makes a catch or scores and his team is down by 4 TD's with 2 minutes left to play. The Yankees have a terrible bench, even when everyone was healthy, now that a few guys are on the IL, it is strictly a minor league roster, outside of Judge and Soto. Why any team would pitch to Judge or Soto defies logic, when with bases loaded and no outs, the Yankees can not score if anyone buy those two are at bat. The Yankees are once again the least athletic team in MLB, the statistically slowest team in MLB, leading all of MLB in hitting into double plays. This is all Cashman's fault. He has Verdugo, a career singles/doubles hitter, averaging 40 rbi's per season batting 4th, when he is a 6th or 7th hitter. Yes Staton is injured, but that should come as no surprise to anyone in baseball. His lower extremities have been ravaged by injury, which predispose to future injury. As a educationally qualified Sports Physician, Sports Scientist/Exercise Physiologist, and PhD in Movement Science and Biomechanics, having performed scientific research on Hamstring Injuries, I can unequivocally state that Stanton's injuries last season were medically mismanaged. Reports indicated he sustained a Grade II Strain (partial Tear) which takes in excess of 12 months to heal in most instances, and the muscle heals with scar tissue filing in the tear in the muscle or tendon, with scar tissue being much weaker to tensile loads than was the original muscle fibers, predisposing to re-injury and/or a progression in the severity of the injury to a complete rupture requiring surgery and often terminating athletic careers. That team doctors and the NY Yankees allowed him to return to competition after only 2 months, is medical malpractice in my humble =opinion and he reason he struggled so badly in 2023. Hard to hit with no legs underneath you.

But this has to be on Cashman, because he entered the season knowing injuries to Judge and Stanton were a virtual guarantee, and he had no viable backup plan. Counting on a guy fresh off Ulnar Collateral Ligament repair to be a savior, when injured players often suffer set-backs in their rehabilitation. DJ and Rizzo appear finished. Torres has been underwhelming this season both on offense and defense. Grisham is not a good enough bat. Jones is not good. Trevino will be batting .200 soon. Verdugo has given the Yankees very little offensively. Boone is a terrible manager, when it comes to in game strategic decisions and handling the pitching and bullpen, just horrible. Anyone can manage a team running on all cylinders. It is Boones fault that he brings relievers. Holmes will never be a bonafide closer, because he pitches to contact, and balls put in play can always find a way to beat you, and he walks too many guys. Cortez can not beat any decent offensive team, I have no faith in Roldon or Stroman, or any Yankee pitcher outside of Cole, because they are all prone to giving up the long ball and they have no out pitch. Boone never has an answer. Time to get rid of him. Trade Torres, trade or release Rizzo, DJ. Grisham, Trevino, and most of their relief pitchers.
@aa6973 ай бұрын
Let's see if as Boone says they need to do better they can restrain the Red Sox running game. If not then Boone's words will be just that words and empty words at that.
