Showed like 3 pitches from Carrasco. Guy pitched 7 2/3 scoreless with 4 hits allowed. Give the guy some spotlight! He was the story tonight, not some solo HR's lol

Give Lindor huge credit for poking a ball through the hole to plate an RBI. That is what Buck has gotten his team to buy into. Alonso is the best example. Instead of worrying about the MLB HR lead, Pete is taking a pitch where it is thrown and driving a ball for a double to knock in an RBI with frequency. I really like this team. If deGrom is "deGrom" when he comes back, I don't see any team favored over the Mets in the post-season. This could be a special year. If the Mets play .500 the rest of the way, they win 94 games. I think they'll do better than .500 over the last 62.

If deGrom returns as the deGrom we've come to know, it should be deGrom, Scherzer, WALKER, Bassitt, and Carrasco. Which is an amazing rotation. Walker has been a rock. Dude has really turned into a reliable front-end starter. The Mets are reaping the reward for signing him in '22. Would like to see him extended.

Note: McNeil hit that HR without the extreme uppercut he was devolving into toward the break. If McNeil continues to his current approach, he'll hit .320. And he'll get a few more opportunistic HRs.

I think he will. Heading to the AS break, it really looked to me like he was falling into the bad habit of uppercut with his swing. He seems to have worked that out. That is the key with him. Even his HR last night was a fairly level swing. He's got "opportunistic power." When goes up their trying to hit bombs, he struggles. When he levels the swing and tries to hit hard line drives, he does well. I think he'll finish the season north of .320.
