I was not believing that we had a 7 run lead slipping away. Cmon really. If they were to lose the game then I am willing to bet that they know how terrible they really are. Alvarez is the future along with Baty. Pete Alonso is having a terrible time and hopefully he can rebound next year. If he even makes it to 40 dingers and 90 rbi it would be a miracle.

This was a Victory. In 2015, this game was eerily similar to the Padres Game in the Rain. We lost that game with a Homer vs Familia. Then we got Cespedes at the trade deadline and swept the Nats to take the lead. Ya Gotta Believe!! At least for a few more days. Time will tell if The Metsies have it in them for a Playoff run. Cookie is a disaster. He can't throw successfully for 6 solid innings. That's a Big problem.

After Pete's injury it just seemed he was getting hit every series in the same place. Can't blame him completely for not finding a rhythm, but now he's just not connecting. Agreed, thought our bullpen blew out the season, then errors and mishaps came. Swept by ATL in early June and had 4+run leads in every game. I can't say they're terrible because I know a stride as a team could equate to consistent streaks, but there is a fine line from being hopeful and a realist. No reason this was a 1 run win in the end
