Enjoyed the journey with you. 3 inputs. Periyanaickenpalayam Railway Station is adjacent to the huge complex of Sri Ramakrishna Vidyalaya on one side and Lakshmi Machine Works Group Unit on the other. Large number of employees of LMW Plant and the Vidyalaya travel by the MEMU trains. I remember having read that many facilities at the station have been provided by the Company under the CSR funds. Just before entering Coimbatore North Junction, one could see a multi storied building, which is well-known Orthopaedic Hospital - Ganga Hospital. The Shiva temple near Madukkarai R.S. is called Sri Dharmalingeswara Temple. The steps have been well laid with the help of Military personnel of a unit nearby on the road to Palakkad.

Extension of Uday has nothing to do with pitline. Uday is a Chennai based rake and it will be a platform turnaround at Palakkad anyways
