I'm glad that MeTV struck while the iron was hot for their animated network spinoff! There was a surprising lack of cartoons on broadcast TV ever since the discontinuation of Saturday morning cartoons on the major networks and the loss of Qubo in recent years...I'm glad Weigel Broadcasting filled the void by adding Flintstones to MeTV's classic TV schedule. That program acquisition, along with Looney Tunes, The Jetsons, and the creation of Toon in With Me, were the sparks that ignited Weigel Broadcasting's interest in the potential of classic animation programming, creating MeTV Toons as a result.

I hope so too it's not gonna be exactly the same. I heard if they actually make one. Because if you see in the fine print on most commercials, it says on most metv toons platforms so yeah my cable company now has it, but I also pay for friendly so I can watch it anytime

Please, no more sports on ad free services. The sports programming is raising the price. Believe it or not, many people are like me and have zero interest in sports. Put all the sports in one place and get them off the ad free entertainment services!

I'm a fan of MeTV and LIVE MeTV toons, so if they do have a streaming app, I'd definitely be thrilled! And I'm NOT a sports fan, just a wrestling fan, so Disney buying the NFL network means nothing to me.

The Los Angeles wildfire caused MeTvToons to shut down or something. So a free streaming service might help people that are still safe near there to get access to the channel without having to wait for the OTA to get repair

on another note: Venu Sports is canceled. The companies behind the sports streaming service made the announcement days after Disney and Fubo struck a deal that settled litigation related to Venu Sports.

I've never seen MeTV Toons even tho it is supposed to be available in my area. In fact, ALL of the subchannels of my local affiliate have disappeared. Online TV schedules show the the programing is still being broadcast, and discussion forums have shown me that there are viewers who are able to watch them, however. All they can suggest is to do a rescan. I doubt rescanning will make any difference because I suspect those subchannels are now being transmitted using ASTC 3.0, so unless your TV is equipped to handle that you are SOL. I just don't understand why admitting this is so problematic that no one does.

Autopay on CC/Debit cards - Yeah, I remember when you could get a discount for doing that, now they are adding charges back for those rather than just raise the price a bit. It seems disingenuous to me when they advertise their service prices then add that in as a separate charge when you get billed. I also experienced that recently at a local movie theater, adding a CC/debit card service charge to the ticket cost. Not a good look when a business does that. 😠

In my market [Boston] metv toons it is a low powered channel and about 40 miles from where I live north of Boston so I can't pick it up

I got the chance to watch MeTV Toons while visiting family in southern Florida over the holidays. I love being able to watch those old shows. I can't get MeTV Toons OTA where I am in metro Atlanta due to low power signals and I don't want to subscrible to another streaming service. So, I am stoked at the chance to get the channel via an existing service I subscribe to or a device I already own. There are some changes coming to OTA channels in the metro, so hopefully MeTV Toons is simulcast with a stronger signal. Then I can enjoy both.

Disney wants NFL so that they can PPV the playoffs, superbowl and so on.. Figure $100 to see the super bowl, plus $1000 or so per year just to get NFL? They need something like that to ALLOW purchase of the superbowl...

@@lindamcdaniel2419 Simple: Disney is looking for a way to get REALLY profitable with Disney +. They put billions into programming that did not drive subscriptions. They put billions into the Hulu purchase. They are buysing Fubo to avoid a huge lawsuit. Purchase of the NFL network means that over the air Football could easily drop into their hands for PPV.. and to make the league happy, huge $$$$$ is needed to pay them off. They have had to **give** away advertising supported subscriptions to the cable companies. Those keep the eye balls, but not nice big payments for the accounts. (Think: COMCAST.) If you don't follow the crumbs, you don't see the right horizon. Iger would like the be lord over a monopoly. Naturally that won't happen under his stewardship, but he's going to try for it...

As a Max subscriber, this irks me. I know multiple studios are doing it, but WB farming out content takes content away from Max. It's better to have things consolidated on one service so that I one can track his viewing history more easily. I don't mind stuff appearing on multiple services, but removing stuff from Max decreases its import.

@chalabrooks5433 Which is why I prefaced with, "I know multiple studios are doing it." Thing is, not all studios do this to the same extent. Disney and Apple don't seem to do it at all. Sony's content seemingly coexists on multiple services. Netflix only seems to remove their content when they sell it to another studio or something becomes banned, like that one "Maya" episode. Max is missing, like, half their stuff because of exclusivity deals with other streamers. More than that, there are periods where some of their content that they actually own is nowhere to be found, despite being previously available. It's exhausting trying to track things down.

i use to like metv toons at launch but now i don't watch it much because they play the same shows way too much especially the weekday shows i need them to change things up and seems for my side there's a lot of problems being a unstable channel like saturdays at midnight they play 2 stupid dogs they play 1 short fine but when they come back from their break they replay from top of hour again the whole station ID show theme all that so until they change things up i'm good with watching just regular metv where i'm exactly a mile from the station that carries the channel's transmitter tower so i can pick up the channel very strong even without any antenna's connected to my sling airtv box it picks it up and during the rescan it shows all green on the strength

My theory is that they're just going to rebrand WB cartoon rewind as the me TV toon free stream because it does have some similar shows but they also have some shows that are not on the main Channel but there certainly is a lot of demand to put on the main Channel such as pirates of dark water and silverhawks

I'm interested in metv tune as well as hopefully at some point in time me tv doing a free channel on a streamer as well as a potential venture/merger of Paramount Plus and peacock as it could be interesting. No, no, no, hell no to Disney getting NFL network and possibly NFL plus. I just can't see Amazon and Netflix and NBC Universal which is owned by Comcast and CBS owned by Paramount Sky dance etc being okay with Disney getting an even bigger piece of the the pie for the NFL.
