Prime 4 will be built from the ground up so one can be hopeful the graphics will be better. Since prime 1 remastered looks much better than botw2, prime should be able to look pretty good too. Maybe not as good as prime 1 remastered since it will be a more technologically advanced game probably since prime 1 is so old. End rant.

Considering how many people are playing Prime for the first time now, I don't think it would be a good idea to change the post credit scenes of the first two Primes (assuming Echoes also gets remastered). They should totally expand the post credits for Prime 3 if THAT gets remastered though Since Metroid 2- Return Of Samus didn't have any ending teasers originally, that's why they added the tease for Dread to that game in the remake

@@carnage0685 Not really, but it did have one. The Dread teaser was in the memories, the post credits scene of SR had the X that became the SA-X specifically as well as showing Ridley discarded his mechanical parts. Aka, foreshadowing Fusion and Super respectively.

Actually, you don't need to scan everything to get the secret ending, just collect all the weapons, energy tanks, missile tanks, and power bomb tanks. The scanning is just for the concept art in the extras.

She looked even worse in Prime 2, if you ask me. Frankly, her best character model from the Prime games was Prime 3, even though she did look a little like an anime character there. Although, her character model in Prime Hunters was also pretty decent. Outside of the Prime series, my favorite character designs for her are from Zero Mission and Other M. And outside of the Metroid series altogether, I like her design from Super Smash Bros. series (Brawl, 3DS/Wii U, and Ultimate). In fact, when it was announced that we could play as Zero Suit Samus in Brawl, I got real hyped. She was probably the character I was looking forward to playing as the most, out of the whole roster. And she's my main in Super Smash Bros. for 3DS.

The teaser is meant to show that Metroid Prime resurrected using the Phazon Suit. Dark Samus is the form it takes after fully merging with the suit which is why it turns blue and fleshy

@KumoRocks Prime 3 Dark Samus is just doing the same thing it did as Metroid Prime where it makes a carapace armor to protect itself and since it melded with the Phazon Suit, naturally its shell took on a similar form instead of turning into a insect shape again. Prime 2 DSam had no shell which is why its fleshy and bare foot with veins and muscle visible on most of the outside "armor" compared to Prime 3 DSam with a few in small parts of the armor plating

I do wish... my interpretation of the graphics in the original was that she was kinda grimy and sweaty, like someone taking off their helmet after a long football game. Remember that the remains of metroid prime was adapting to the suit, maybe was low in phazon, and since there are remains of it in the mines, the new born dark samus, feed on what was left and completed the corruption of the phazon suit, if you compare the phazon suit with dark samus, you can see that there are breaches in some parts of the suit, alsothere are feet (thats why I prefer MP3C dark samus over MP2E, except when dark samus overloads with phazon in forms 3 and 4, that look is so terrific and terrorrific)

That's because the suit is a base for Dark Samus to take form. It was originally just a malfunction in Prime 1 so it wouldn't make sense to change anything other than the color.

In US markets it was a Metroid experiment that went rogue from space pirates iirc. In the “official” story, it’s a Metroid that absorbed so much phazon from the comet that instead of being a guardian for the worm thing it presumably took over the role of the worm. Given that the planet was inhabited by Chozo and they created metroids it is safe to assume they brought some with them for safe keeping

Later, the Space Pirates arrived and began mining, uncovering the Leviathan and experimenting with the Phazon and Metroids, eventually leading to the creation of the Metroid Prime and mutated Metroids.

just finished Metroid prime and having done my first playthrough on the wii trilogy it reminded of how much backtracking is done in this game lol i know that's what Metroid is known for but i also know it was cranked up to 11 in echos. i honestly hope they dont remaster the other two because motion controls on the wii felt so good and just doesn't feel the same on switch. if they do remaster the other two games, then that would tell me that we still have to wait a few more years for Metroid prime 4. so if they remaster the other two ill get corruption but not echos i don't wanna have to backtrack every 10 minutes lol

Yes Echoes is quite harsh to replay because you need door keys instead of abilities sometimes, and the areas feel too similar between the worlds. Prime 2 did have great bosses and morph ball puzzles though

I've never been the biggest fan of having voiceovers here, but I can take it or leave it. The scene of Metroid Prime pulling the Phazon Suit off Samus is very well done. I feel like a very big opportunity was missed. I know it's just a remaster, but it always felt weird not having the 'evacuate immediately' segment be playable when it's such a staple of the series. Adding a brief escape scene would have added to the experience in my opinion. I like the touch of having Samus deactivate her helmet, rather than physically removing it. And as others have said, the face model used for Samus looks incredible here. Samus' Gunship looks off - the paint colors contrast each other too much. The lighting on the final scene, the birth of Dark Samus, is all screwed up. Lighting issues are present elsewhere in the remaster too, but here it really makes a difference. In the original Metroid Prime, you could see that eye on the back of the hand look around frantically before the pupil focuses, foretelling the intelligence and future threat of Dark Samus. You don't really get that here, because you can't make out details through the darkness.

@@Mety333 I know, but it still feels like a bit of a letdown to see 'Evacuate Immediately' pop up at the end, only for it to turn out to be a cutscene where we don't even get to see Samus' escape from the core. I mean, Super Metroid had no problem putting an escape sequence at the end of Ceres Station at the very beginning as well as at the very end when Zebes itself is about to blow. Ultimately though, this is just quibbling. We can always ask 'what if' after all.

This Samus version is way better than MP2 and MP3 models. I hope they stick with this version for the other games if they plan to remaster them. This Samus' face model is more realistic and more accurate to what Samus was in the Super Metroid art designs and it makes more justice to what a bounty hunter should look like instead of the design of Zero Suit Samus.

I starts a new game but with all of your scans intact, so you you can basically speed run the entire game without waiting 10 seconds for every scan. It's funny because scanning key locations from far away will teleport you if it triggers a cutscene, like every single scan in the opening does. Also very useful if you forgot to scan the Ice Screechbat that permanently disappears after you beat Thardus.

So that's how I feel with samus, her face didn't need to be downgraded to look like the average woman you see at the grocery store... but these people accept everything they're given without any standards. Enough complains on her face would secure a patch and wa la samus would have her og face back and would be in HD and we'd all be happy.

@Marche I'm not sure about this game, but from my memory, Prime Trilogy (it had all 3 games in one package) did have a hard mode, and like I said, you start off with nothing once you get to the planet negating any idea of new game plus. It's how the game is meant to be played.

Hard mode unlocks after your first completion of the remaster (not sure if it unlocks on casual but it certainly does on a normal difficulty completion). You retain log book percentage so you can pick up any missing logs on your hard playthrough, so long as you start it on the cleared save file.
