After many long years of watching Evangelion, we all need to say goodbye to this "Beautiful World," make our departure like a gust of "Flowing Cherry Blossoms" and exit stage right with "One Last Kiss." Thank you to Mew for the covers, Hikaru Utada for the theme songs and Hideaki Anno for staying till the end. Hope everyone finds closure in "Thrice Upon a Time."

I truly do love this ending, I may not have been fully into this series nor watched the movies fully but knowing the entire plot, yet I know the struggles he’s gone through. This final movie, he’s become humanity’s salvation. Gonna miss it tho, wouldn’t mind or should say I wish there is a spin-off for what everyone is doing in the ending in the new world. I just couldn’t stop smiling, after all the shit, hardships, pain, and sadness, it wasn’t all for nothing….he’s finally been awarded for all his struggle of having found true *Peace.*

2 years on now, and it still hurts deep down from time to time in my heart & soul in emotions to this very day... not as bad as it originally was post first watch, but I continue to soldier on since that day in healing from the experiences with my life going on now, as I did with 3.0 previously well over 10 years ago now since it came out as well... it was a hell of a ride, and still is while enduring how it ended and what could've been instead. I always come back here once in a while to listen to this, and I can't stop listening after that for a whole day or throughout the week, but I always come back because it's so good. The new content of Eva coming out recently helps now post Anno involvement & more to come, but I still continue to look up Eva in fanfics that help as well... some of the best out there over the decades, with some still ongoing. Thank you Mewsic for making this great cover back then, it was much appreciated by all us fans of this great franchise out there in the world... we're looking forward to your future content you continue to make. 😎😉 # Team Eva Forever! ❤

Loved your work on the short version and I'm once again impressed by the dynamic balance the full version has, especially at 2:46 onwards. Also loved the extra throwback sound at 4:03. However, if I had one criticism, it was at 1:22 -1:39. I don't know if it was my headphones, but the notes of the xylophone (or synthesizer) were high pitched enough that it jumped in front of and overpowered the vocals in the start of the 2nd verse. Audio was great for everything else and all other instances of those notes were added seamlessly. P.S. the lyrics on screen missed the two lines before the last verse of 4. Sorry if that sounded overly analytical, but apart from that it was still lovely to listen to. Thanks for singing. Looking forward to your next work and to finally finishing this franchise for the last time.

Excellent work on both the lyrics and the vocals, as well as the overall mixing of the music in general, capturing the spirit of the Utada Hikaru's original rendition but without being an exact copy. This song fits the gist of Shinji and Asuka's relationship in Evangelion 3.0 + 1.0 extremely well.

⬇⬇⬇⬇ = People who've seen 3.0 + 1.0 only... do so at your own discretion. Poor Asuka and Shinji, and their loving fans... I really wanted them to be together and make up for lost time with their lives for this new ending! = even if it was little by little in due time. 😢😢😢😭😭😭 For so many years now... not Mari and Kensuke of all people!!! = Dam you Anno!!! 😠😡👿❗❗❗ The two could've worked things out together with more time if they tried to in catching up + developing and maturing, but it felt like to me that he was running away from her again for someone else who he hardly knew, not facing the full facts + reality or the truth of themselves that they do deep down still truly love each other, despite their flaws. Now I have to wait until Anno's successor comes along and makes more Eva again in the next 6 to 10 years or so, now that he's gone and said so himself that he wouldn't mind if other people made more Eva after him... that might give us Asuka X Shinji fans some later hope, closer and satisfactory someday... Re-Take OVA series anyone??? = I would if I could = with the copyright permission to it all. I had a great Fanfic in mind all these years since 2010 for the final outcome of this last film that should've happened if those two got back together again that would be like a follow up from the films afterwards... and now it's ruined... now it has to go away back on the shelves until next time or until I can change it either way to make it better for another story telling of it all. It's not fair, is all I'm going to say.

@@petermills3814 I didn't read the bottom of your comment, but I think the majority of the world has not seen the new film (Unauthorized and untranslated IMAX recordings or wiki articles notwithstanding). Best not to tempt them. This is the final culmination of a 1995 TV series and a 4 film tetraology that started in 2007. Regardless of individual opinions, most reviews say it provides closure, which is all I've wanted from the series since finishing the TV series and End 4 years ago. I'm going into this final film blind and waiting for official translation.

The original song done by Utada Hikaru really got me sad in a very hard way, yet happy at the same time = now that the films are over... but mostly sad throughout = after seeing 3.0 + 1.0. 😢😢😢😭😭😭 There were so many feels, that it kind of broke my heart with the outcome, yet I was happy for them as characters... but it never fully turned out the way I really wanted it to be in a right way, like many other fans wanted to as well for so many years... dam you Anno, Why! No Spoilers: But I would've done the film a little better here and there if it had just another 40 minutes or so more in runtime for the story in being added to flesh it all out = 3.1 hours-worth in total... but overall, it was much better than 3.0 in concluding the rebuild movies. My Heart has so many feels that it puts a cold ghostly chill down my very soul and makes me cry every time so deeply... is the way I can describe it = after loving the series for more than 11 years now and reading all about it in both background information and its fanfics out there, now it feels like it's the end of an era for me in some ways = after almost 30 years of Eva being around. I only got into it in these last 11 years, yet it feels like I was there from the very beginning. This song to me in Japanese feels like it's all about Asuka X Shinji. This series gave me so much, both in the good and bad experiences = yet I grew from it all to better myself, and now I feel like Rin Tohsaka after losing Archer at the end of Unlimited Blade Works anime series of Fate... coping with it all and trying to move forward again. I'm going to miss them all after this and how everything else things could've been... but now that Anno is gone from the franchise and has moved on with his life in other things = it will be up to his successor to make more Eva in the later future for us = that we know will eventfully happen once again, in about 6 to 10 years or so... regardless if it is the same story again as before + similar or not. What a ride it has been... I love those children of Evangelion. Thanks to Eva, I made my own fan-fictional universe that made my other work even greater than what it could've been on its own back then at the start, till now ongoing... If I was there as my own created character in that universe, I would've saved them myself! You might want to wait Caroline to make this your own cover of the song until after you've seen 3.0 + 1.0 to understand it all even better... just saying, be ready for the feels when the time comes. ✔

At first I wasn't really a fan of "one last kiss" I liked Cruel Angel thesis, Komm Susser Todd (Come Sweet death the song that plays during the 3rd impact in EoE) and Beautiful world but after watching thrice upon a time it grew on me a lot I think Amalee's version helped me love it though. Though I don't think it's goodbye for good for Evangelion it's goodbye for now hopefully down the line we get animated versions of stuff like re-make Shinji Ikari raising project and video games (we need some local consol Eva games a RPG would be sick where you can play as Shinji and as you go on you could play Rei, Asuka Mari and Kawru with there different eva's and plug suits kinda do it like persona with the links and stuff that would he so fun
