Tunédex Side Notes #67: I woke up in an odd place. I was flying through space with what looked like a cloud nebula below me. Suddenly, an odd orb emerged from the clouds and flew at me. I looked for something to defend myself and found a small crate of strange balls floating next to me. I picked one up and threw it at the orb. When the two objects connected, the orb flew back, and I heard a “mew” noise coming from the orb. The orb reappeared and I threw another ball. I repeated this a few more times until a small creature came out of the orb. It was a small cat-like creature that began to chase the orb. It looked at me before jumping into the orb again. The orb flew towards me again and I defended myself with the balls. After the fifth time I knocked it out of orb, it flew up to me and stared at me with a curious and rather cute expression on its face. It soon opened a portal and slipped into it. I woke up and saw that I was back at my camp. Absol was snuggled against me asleep. I stared at the ceiling on the tent and wondered what that little mewing creature was. At the time, I jokingly called it Mew, then I remembered the Mewtwo that I encountered in the past. A strange chill when up my spine and I quietly snuggled up closer to my “safety” Absol.

Thank you! In most of the lyrics, I do make it a point to include some lore (for legendary or mythical Pokémon) , or at least some information from the Pokédex for non-legendaries

So if Mew is supposed to have all the DNA of all Pokemon, then what about Arceus? I mean it created all Pokemon including Mew.

mew may be arceus's first creation

I do not know the lore to the deepest of levels, but I believe this is a paradox in the Pokémon lore that isn't really explained anywhere (i could be wrong). Arceus could have created Mew to contain its own DNA copy.

Funny enough, Arceus didn't create all Pokemon directly; It created the Creation Trio, by whom each universe was created; and It created the egg from which the beings of mind hatched. When parts of the newborn world were infused with mind, life arose - and Mew was the first form taken by life. From there, natural law saw Mew's form diversify over epic time, giving rise to the rich variety of life we see in the fossil record and our day-to-day. Also, the Pokemon we call Arceus is an avatar of the true Arceus, which is a transcendent god (we get a tiny glimpse of Its true form at the start of Pokemon Legends Arceus.)
