@@lemonqvartz Ok. In animation every characters should have a character model sheet. You should be able to turn them at 3/4 view, profile view, side view, 3/4 back view, back view. And the same in the other direction. rb.gy/oosh1x A design is a good design if it can be shot from all angles.

I actually find it *a lot* easier to not sketch beforehand at all, because I get so caught up in the sketch and I end up "perfecting" it if that makes sense. Sometimes I'll just put a few rough lines of where everything should be but most of the time I just... well... start drawing.
@adamwise11114 жыл бұрын
I feel like you hit on the most important thing about art, which that you shouldn't avoid the things you aren't good at. I've learned SO much from just biting the bullet and letting myself make a really shitty drawing. That's basically entirely how I learned how to draw. Practice makes perfect, so if you don't practice, you'll never be anything close to perfect.

I used to be one of those amateurs that used to draw humans without the shape of the skull and it looked like the character has a VERY thin layer of hair. The other eye is hard, believe me. The best you could do is when you do a few parts of the eyes at a time on each. And that far away eye in the 3/4 view, draw the eye shorter horizontally, not vertically. Otherwise will look like the character is squinting their eye like they're confused, unless that's your intention of expression. I did it by accident multiple times, but attempt to pay more attention in the future.

Overtime which is years, I’m feeling like my old drawings are not what I expected anymore because before your thinking it’s really good but passing time your getting better and making your mistakes into great progress over time, so my point is that it’s ok to make mistakes even if it’s not what you want even though you try and try but just remember not everything is perfect :)
@shinmie4 жыл бұрын
omg you are the first person to explain this so nicely i love it :O also I think you should have added patience, since a lot of people tend to be impatient when they start out in the art community and basically handicap themselves because they arent willing to put in the time and effort to watch and follow lessons and do their homework and practice... (example: buying a 10 hour course on anatomy and never doing the lessons) of course you need to take breaks that is so critical, but artists like this cant just sit there mindlessly drawing and then expect to suddenly be good at it. effort takes hard work but it also requires patience. (and lots of it!) ^^

The things with line confidence is that if your line isn't good the first time, you have acknowledged that it can improve and then you fix that line --> improving yourself overall through this experience Being able to draw character in a perfect straight on view is actually really good if you do plan on getting into 3D figuring one day
