I have played creative since day 1, and man it's a shame that all the popular maps are lazy copy and pastes. Long gone are the days of mini battle royales, party games and unique maps. Now its just the crappy skibidi's random dump truck tycoon. I want quality, not quantity.

You can just.. search for the good maps? They put good maps on the recommended, but you are only looking at the brainrot. Also KZbin exists. Those super power box pvp's are fun. They are copy and pastes, but video games were literally made to have fun. If you over think about "oh it's copy and paste" or knit pick like some people do, you will inherently not have fun. Video games were better back in like 2000-2016 because people didn't think about it too much, they just sat down and enjoyed it. But no one plays video games for fun anymore.

I feel like this is the best way for Fortnite to go. These new modes are incredible, and that’s it. The biggest problem is Fortnite creative’s discovery map.

it pains me to see how StW was shoved to the side when Epic noticed BR's success. it had so much potential, so it really hurt me when it was discontinued by epic. building really harmed BR in the long run, due to the now massive skill gap. now i don't know what it has become. the familiar 'lore' - while very convoluted, now feels discontinued, forgotten, sidelined by the creative mode slop.

@@davebeans64 It still harmed the game quite a bit and is one of the reasons why people have left for so long. You can tell epic games themselves realized the damage just from the nerfs and amount of weapons they added to counter building and reduce it's effectiveness so that it would be used more like how they wanted it to.

It was people that started taking the game way too serious and put hundreds of hours of their lives into just sweating their asses off with building. But skill based matchmaking in fortnite is good now. You rarely even get those sweats in your games unless you are one yourself. Also either way, Zero Build exists.

It's obvious what happened, Epic wanted to get into the whole metaverse craze, saw what Roblox was doing and was all "hey let's do that with Fortnite for our metaverse" and then Disney saw what Fortnite was doing and decided "Let's do that for our metaverse" and invested in Epic.

LEGO Fortnite is kinda Awesome TBH even though BR should be the only one. Rocket Racing is great too. Just the maps made by people are kinda annoying and low effort.

Yeah I agree! I've tried out all of the modes, and while I still prefer BR and STW, I've been enjoying them a bit! I also like the collabs, but they should be consistent in adding weapons/items that can change the dynamic of the game! STW needs more love though, and I think the new game modes show that Epic can work on other modes as well, although BR is the main thing. I'm ngl, Fortnite kinda introduced me to the JJK anime and actually made me enjoy rhythm games lol, so I'm pretty open to both collabs and the new modes! As for creative, there defo needs to be some sort of review system so that we can filter out and seperate the cheap slop from the truly creative and unique gems!

Back when they first released UEFN there were a few maps and they were ACTUALLY GOOD i favourited some to play them whenever i wanted BUT NOW NO ONE EVEN PLAYS THEM and its actually depressing whenever i play creative mode now its just to find the goofiest game so yeah.... but i do really enjoy fortnite festival thats pretty much the only mode out of the new 3 that i play

I have always prioritized quality and fun on my maps, even if I'm making something clickbaity to help me make money. It's honestly *really* discouraging seeing the garbage make literally tens of millions of dollars. I'm not sure how stuff like "African *slur* zone wars" gets approved while I am currently battling player support to allow me to publish a massive open world spider-man like swinging game (they say it breaks a rule but won't tell me which one). As much as I like the 3 new game modes (lego, rocket racing, and festival), it's also kind of discouraging seeing some ideas that I could have made be taken by the company themselves just because we don't have the necessary tools to create such content. I'm sure eventually we'll have the tools but that's just what I think of this right now, I love the opportunities Epic provided for the community and highly respect the work they put in.

The difference is, fortnite has core game modes that you can play. Roblox forces this brainrot onto you, but fortnite still gives the option for freedom. At the same time it also makes indulging in that freedom optional aswell. So no, it's not a bad thing. It would only be a bad thing, if they forced people to play creative, or racing, or lego, ect.

Yeah, i have noticed that games like pubg and Fortnite, have completely spun off their original genre, the reason they blew up, and instead decided to farm off the huge success of roblox, this would obviously not work because Fortnite is a game, not a platform.
