As a lebanese i have to give my 2 cents on the food: - this is not the outer laying we use for the fatayer cheese and sanbousek . We use basic paste like the ones you usually use for pizza. Also we dont use a spicy sauce with them. - we dont eat rice with lamb shown in the first meal . We eat it with bread and hummus or garlic sauce. - the bread served in this video is way different than the lebanese bread we use which may make the taste of the whole experience different. All of the servings in this video are from the lebanese Mezze which alone might not taste as good as they will taste when you eat them in between all the lebanese Mezze experience as it includes a lot more varieties than what was shown here. To conclude, if you want to taste real authentic lebanese food you have to come to lebanon . The lebanese cuisine is known worldwide as one of the best cuisines in the world and this video only scratches the surface.

As a lebanese, i have soo much to say. The lamb skewers aren't served with rice, these food aren't all served separately. They are normally all together at the table, the bread served with hummus doesn't look right, and the fatayer look extremly diffrent than the ones we actually do, also missed a lot of good food that could have been added.

The dishes they served here were very basic and are all considered appetizers here, lebanon has a lot more to offer than this, also, with a lot of these dishes, you're not meant to have them on their own like that, you pair them with something else, for example with kibbeh you either have it with tabbouleh and pomegranate molasses or dip it in a soup called mlahiyyah

Interesting answers from the 3 gentlemen - the National dish of Lebanon is actually tabbouleh salad. It is made for every family meal to start with and celebrate independence of Lebanon because at the time, Lebanon was very poor when first created so people were foraging what they could to make flavoursome food, which mainly came from the Mount Lebanon region - this was then called for Tabbouleh Salad to be the national dish of Lebanon

The Mexican dad that called it the tortilla of Lebanon is so well cultured. Every video he is familiar with the country and cuisine. Respect to this man. Also like how the other dad referenced Mediterranean cuisine because it is shared foods in the region. Respect to him too. The last dad, to be a teacher seems very uninformed about other cultures. I’m sorry to be that dude BUT NOT EVERY ARAB FOOD IS SPECIFICALLY FOR AN ARAB COUNTRY we don’t know which one invented first but every country eat and use these dishes and have their own way of cooking it so not every Arab country koubah and hummus and fatayer is not a Lebanon dish it’s an Arab dish in general just a small amount and specific dishes that are considered invented by that Arab country like doulma and paachaa from Iraq and mansaf from Jordan and msakhan from Palestine and kabseh from saudi and also mandy from Yemen so yeah and not also shawarma is a specific Arab country thing it’s an Arab general food and probably most likely that most of all the sweets and general Arab dishes are Turkish or to be specific an ottoman dish in the Ottoman Empire 😊 pls do your research 😂❤
@graceko41894 ай бұрын
What makes you think its not Lebanese, do you have a proof it isn't, and what make you think its not the other way around about the ottoman dishes ,what if the ottomans took our dishes and not the other way around just like the coffee ,they call it turkish coffee and its not even close to be turkish , its Ethiopian and arabs took it and even preserved the fnejin Ethiopian art too .also the flavor of Lebanese dishes even in mutual middle East dishes is wayyyyy different then other Arab countries and the balance are different ,the ingredients flavors are different and genuinely taste better hence why it's so loved and popular ,even the presentation is better now if you are annoyed by this fact its on you but there is a reason Lebanese food the one the world loves the most out of all middle Eastern cuisine . Also dolma is not iraqi its armenian. Its funny how suddenly you say all these other Arab countries invented dishes bes somehow Lebanese don't have the capability to invent such food 😂
