I’m Mexican so I don’t have a dog in the race. I will say this, realistically speaking Belize is a very small country with a very small population, compared to Guatemala 17 million. I don’t think Belize has the logistics capability nor the military strength to pull off a offense and defense against Guatemala. Also nor do I think the UK will get involved.

Actually, Mexico were also claiming the northern part of Belize. It recognized Belize as independent, however, Mexico said only if Guatemala were to become successful in gaining Belize that Mexico will revive its claim and take Guatemala to court for the lands north of the Sibun River. Belize is for Belizeans tho!

That is only his opinion not a fact Guatemala does has historical facts that proves her rights over part of Belize territory. One is England returned full soveranity of Belize to Spain years after the battle of St.George Island, Then Spain gave permission to the Baymen to enter northern Belize. After that in 1821 Guatemala gained her Independence, me in while England did not recognize that land and the baymen living there as a crown of England until 1867, By that time that territory was already part of Guatemala her 1821 independence made it clear Spain was no longer in charge not to mention the treaties that England did not lived up to. So 12,272 kilometers is what Guatemala will get. Made no mistake the only thing this Mexican is right about is that there will be no peace.
