The nose masks - designed to be worn underneath standard face masks that have become common-place during the pandemic - were unveiled during a video demonstration by an unnamed man and a woman sitting down for lunch in Mexico. In the video, shared by Reuters news agency on Wednesday, the pair are shown taking off their face masks revealing the unusual 'Eating Masks' underneath, before eating a drinking while sitting at an outdoor table. People were quick to note the goofy appearance of the mask, while others noted that a year ago - before the pandemic - face masks were considered strange too. Coronavirus is a respiratory disease that spreads through the air by droplets and smaller particles exhaled from the nose and mouth of an infected person as they breathe, speak or cough. According to Johns Hopkins University, human cells that give people a sense of smell are also key entry point for the coronavirus, meaning it is important to keep noses covered when coming into close contact with other people.
