Mexico's COVID-19 'Nose Mask'

A group of researchers in Mexico designed a COVID-19 ‘nose mask’ that covers a person’s nostrils but not their mouth. The idea is that people would wear the tiny mask when they otherwise would not have a mask on, such as while eating and drinking at a restaurant. That said, guidance from the CDC and WHO continues to encourage people to wear a full face mask that covers the mouth, nose, and chin securely whenever possible.

Lmao it’s not effective at all, your nostrils already have natural filters while your mouth does not, also the virus is transmitted mainly by coming out of the mouth. So this is neither keeping you from getting sick nor is it keeping you from getting others sick, it’s literally useless, even more so than a normal mask

The video shows that this mask is labelled "For eating." Currently, the only way I have of eating around other people is to be totally unmasked. I see this as a legitimate "better than nothing" effort.

You're right, it's not solving the problem complete, but it's removing half of the problem . Half is better than none. Those that comment on being afraid of Covid probably haven't experienced what this virus can do. I promise you, from my experience, even though I've had it and survived( the ugly version) I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy. Half coverage is better than none.
