You mentioned that the street food fair was on Friday. It was probably in celebration of Good Friday. I noticed all the people in the church that you passed by. Good Friday kicks off the religious festivities for Easter. Religious festivals in Mexico are huge, as I'm sure you witnessed when Sunday rolled around--if you were still in the city at that time.

Wow - we were there in March 2018 and stayed at the top of the funicular at the Balcon de Cielo hotel. The hotel included unlimited funicular rides ( and breakfast in a nice restaurant in town). We never once encountered a line up. Similarly, we had the mirador to ourselves (and went for a great walk on the upper bowl road above town). I hope things quiet down for you now that Easter holidays are over.

Guanajuato City, the enchanting land of colorful streets and the occasional donkey traffic jam, is a place where even the buildings seem to have attended clown college. If you're not careful, you might accidentally stroll into a salsa dance-off between mariachi bands and street tacos. The city's underground road system is like a labyrinth designed by a mischievous mole with a sense of humor, so getting lost is practically a rite of passage. And let's not forget the legendary Callejoneadas, where enthusiastic musicians lead a cacophony of revelers through narrow alleys, turning the whole city into a spontaneous carnival. In Guanajuato, even the ghosts have a sense of humor - they probably spend their afterlife trading jokes in the eerie tunnels beneath the city. So, if you find yourself in Guanajuato, remember to bring your laughter, your dancing shoes, and maybe a map (though it's more of a souvenir, really). Nice video, Gabriel Traveler!

Hey Gabriel, there's a very popular taco stand at the corner of Hidalgo and Insurgentes here in San Miguel that you might include in one of your videos. It's always crowded with locals and a few gringos, and starts serving after 8 PM usually. The tacos are cheap and very tasty. Here's an article about Andy and his tacos: eatingtheglobe.com/andys-pastor-taco-cart/, You can also read people's comments about this taco stand on tripadvisor. The Jardin, as all central plazas in Mexico, comes to life after 6 P.M. with music and people strolling about. In the afternoon, it's quiet around town with many of us enjoying a siesta. If you need to take a break from running around town making videos, spend a few hours at La Gruta just to the north of town. It's a really nice hot spa, cost 150 Pesos as of last year. You can catch a bus to Dolores Hidalgo on Calzada de la Luz and ask the driver to drop you off at the entrance to La Gruta (which is just off the main road), and you can catch a bus back into town from there.
