Hi, Mexican here. There are some things that I would like Americans to understand. 1.- Most people that cross illegally are not Mexican. Since about 2014 Mexicans represent less than half of the people crossing illegally. 2.- Most Mexicans don't want to migrate to the US. There are 130 million people in Mexico, and many more hundreds of million in all of south America. The life of an immigrant is hard, and the life of an illegal immigrant is even harder. Imagine living a life constantly in fear of being kicked out of the country you call home, the place where against odds you build a life, where you have your friends, and maybe even your family. And that is if you even make it there. As you see here, crossing is no easy task, and if you use the help of a criminal to cross, he can and will likely abuse your position to get money out of you, money that if you had easy access to, you wouldn't be in that position. They are moving to a country with a different language, different culture. And you cant just hop the border every now and then to visit your family back home. Only the desperate and misinformed cross the border, just imagine how awful your life would have to be to think your life would be better if you cross illegally. 3.- When Trump said we don't send our best he was kind of right. If only the desperate and criminals are willing to cross illegally, that's not exactly our best is it? The best, most determined and hard workers maybe. The truth is that for most Mexicans life here is not the best it can be, but is not bad enough to make us go through that.

It IS a complicated issue.... Could the baby end up country less? Maybe the paperwork could be: baby was born here and the mother has a visa or has legal citizenship in this specific foreign country. To acknowledge the baby was born to this mother and also to provide a good document for the home country to easily accept the baby. Simultaneously, we can allow the mother to go through legal us Citizenship and "Grandfather" her dependents into the country.

like this rancher, my dad is also 72 years old and he feels very similarly. Even myself at 30, I feel like this country is night and day different to what I remember as a kid 20+ years ago. Back during the Great Recession, illegal day laborers couldn't find work. I was at a hardware store and one of them begged me for work. Sorry, I'm doing the work myself. Today, I see vacant units at malls and strip malls. I see more homeless. The prices at the grocery store are very high. Something is very wrong. A lot of Americans will be on the street and shelters competing against these illegals. I have a bad feeling about this.

A lot of people come here to work, to better their families, but a lot other also come with the bad intentions. Many people come here because they have a criminal background in their country, that alone is enough to close the border. Some come over here to escape terrible policies from their country that lead to crime, a terrible economy and a sad life for their family, what infuriates me is that so so many of those people, come here and vote for awful policies that cause the very thing that they were escaping from in their home country. It’s sad that you leave a country you love because it gets destroyed by awful corrupt polices, then arrive to the US and vote for candidates with far left ideas and communist policies that will cause the same downfall in this Republic 🤦🏻‍♂️.
