@-Teca-actually he isn’t wrong in putting the Spanish(spain) flag to signal that it’s a Spanish speaking channel (meaning they talk Spanish). Reason being is that if he were to put a Mexican flag to signal that this channel is Spanish speaking then they are going to assume it’s a Mexican channel or the same with other flags for Latin America that speaks Spanish because there isn’t a “Mexican language” or a “Colombian language” because there are dialects of spanish. As for the British vs American flags to signal English, I’ve seen where they incorporate both flags to mean “this is a English-speaking channel” but there is no need if the original channel is speaking English (either be uk English, Australia English, us english, etc etc). So probably that’s why he chose the Spanish flag. Idk. But as a Spanish speaking guy, there’s nothing wrong with that choice
@BattleOrder5 ай бұрын
@-Teca- Well first it is pretty common to use either the UK or USA flag to signify "this is in English" But second, I put the flags of the origin country of the language AS WELL as the flag of the largest Spanish speaking country and the country my narrator is from. Cut me some slack lmao

@@arcdecibel9986When I was over there they had whole fleets of modern F-150s and the like for the police and army. But during my time in the military I got to use older Toyotas and Nissans during OPFOR exercises in which I realized that those are super useful (many had rolled-over odometers and were still going strong). I would say that newer pickups offer a lot of benefits but the older ones are probably timeless. I think it's an obvious choice for any military or paramilitary force which can't afford, say, MRAPs and humvees, to be using lots of pickups for sure. But being real about counter insurgency stuff, one probably still wants MRAPs and all those fancy EOD vehicles. I be no expert tho. 🙏 It's interesting to see Mexico covered here. I don't actually know much about Mexico's military situation, so that's pretty cool. Definitely cool to see more countries than just the great powers covered in these videos.
@arturosanchez5335 ай бұрын
The reason that the Mexican Armed Forces use Pickup is that they need faster vehicles for the persecutions against the cartels. A Humvee is good and resistant, but slow against the vehicles of criminals. The Cheyenne and F-150 were also chosen because they are manufactured locally, which lowers costs and simplifies maintenance and spare parts logistics, in addition to being cheap in case of replacement.

Hello, I am Mexican. The military uses armored trucks level 5,6 and 7 normally using the highest armored spearhead; They also use artedasanal armor in some parts of the country, but this cannot be seen with the naked eye. To know that it is artisanal armor, you have to open the doors of the patrol to see whether the windows are armored or not. Last year where I live, the CJNG and the Army clashed, the military used automatic grenade launchers and light machine guns (apart from infantry fire) they did not say how many deaths there were, but there were 5 hitmen's vans and some of the army's were disabled. As for confrontations, sometimes there are no tactics on the part of organized crime, since they attack the army, navy or police and the confrontation becomes 0-5 meters away (there is no tactic there, just shoot and be lucky not to). die) Greetings from Guanajuato, Mexico

I served in the Mexican Cavalry, tho our speciality is reconnaissance, unlike the US or other Western countries, us we act a bit different we do a lot of mobility stuff but we’re more focused towards Direct Action and Counter-narcotics. The organization structure its a bit wrong. Each Cavalry Regiment is made up like this: Comandancia = HQs Command 3x Escuadrones EDN = Recon Squadrons 1x Plana Mayor y Servicios = Sustainment Squadron Each SQN is made up of 3 Section of 3 Platoons each one, each Platoon is made up of 10 soldiers led by a Sargento Segundo (Staff Sergeant) but if the unit is running low on people can by lead by a Cabo (Corporal) sometimes. Not only that but there’s not such thing as Weapons Platoon in the Mexican Cavalry that structure is purely on Mexican Infantry units not us. Structure can depend a lot on the needs of the unit, also there’s NO SNIPERS on the conventional Mexican military only SOF (SF, Paras and SMUs). Other than that the video is pretty spot on but NOT ALL Cavalry Regiment are structured at 100%. My unit had a lot of Paras (Mexican Rangers) that shift a lot of the leadership on the unit.

The main reason why they use pickups is because humvees are not suitable for highway chases, they are quite slow compared to Narco vehicles. In Mexico the army sometimes has to fulfill the role of the police, and heavy vehicles simply do not make sense. Yes, the drug trafficker has heavy weapons, but it is not the norm. Hello, Mexican here! I loved the video on this! I’m from the middle class Mexican suburbs, my family owned a Cheyenne back in 2015 y and other full-size trucks and the thing about them is that they are so enrooted to our culture, I work in the automotive industry and the reason for the name Cheyenne is because Mexicans used to drive landyacht like the Grand Marquis or the Caprice, and when us Mexicans started to fall in love with trucks and seeing them as family / individual use vehicles, practical and very useful vehicles some Mexicans still had trouble recognizing them as such, due to the fact that they were previously regarded as agricultural or purely work trucks. Thus, a decision was made to divide all popular trucks in two names. Work trucks : American name Ford : F-150 Chevy : Silverado RAM : 1500 Luxury / family / city/ suburban trucks / : Mexico only nameplate Ford : Lobo Chevy : Cheyenne Ram : 2500 ( Non HD) This full-size trucks are very popular and this is the reason why there’s a sense of familiarity and pride in using them, and just liked you said they don’t alienate the public And this also happens with the HUMVEE, since Mexico loved HUMMERS, Mexico was the second country that bought the most HUMMERS in the world, even above Canada. And the crazy 6x6 RAM you saw is another Mexico-only nameplate called the RAM 6500, production ready version of the Ram BFG. Mexico is also one of the top HUMVEE users in the world. Also there are now autonomous sandcat versions and mini gun mounted sandcats that have been approved for combat very recently. Thank you so much for making a video on my military, I loved all of your videos!

Former member of the Mexican navy here. Many wonder why Mexico doesn't have vehicles like tanks and etc. Well, there are two reasons. 1.-Mexico has an "agreement" with the United States which states that Mexico should not (can) have that type of vehicles since in a situation of invasion of the Mexican territory, the United States army and all its weapons will be helping ours. . 2.- In reality, Mexico does not need it, because Mexico is not a country that enters into military conflicts with other countries. Incidentally, that is why the Mexican Army and Navy is trained in the protection of civilians, that is why we are one of the armies that arrive the fastest in natural disaster situations and the reason why several members of the army and navy are rescuers. That is why Mexico has mobile canteens, mobile infirmaries and so on. Pay attention and in each natural disaster the Mexican navy and army are the first to arrive with rescuers, doctors, nurses, kitchens and cooks. P. It is worth noting that the DNXI and DNXII are not produced under license, they are national designs that were inspired by the Sandcat. Same for the Kitam and Cimarron II. Some of the sandcats are produced under license by the national factory IBN (Translates to National Armor Industries). 350 Ocelot MRAPs were also purchased, a modified design of the Cobra 4 produced on national soil. Also, these guys use the RPG29. Contrary to outsider rumors, the RPG29 was bought "in large quatities" (im not joking thats literally the only known metric about the purchase of these weapons). So they arent exclusive to special forces.
@luisbrando69005 ай бұрын
As a Mexican and a fan of these topics I can clarify some things.First of all, good video and it is appreciated that you continue making videos about Mexico. The SandCat when they were purchased were still Israeli property and could support a maximum of 7.62 but the patent was purchased and they began to be manufactured in Mexico both by the military assembly company ("army company") and by several civilian companies that made their own versions that It would be nice if they were given a review, in general and more common is the Black Mamba, which was even exported. Now what is done more than anything is to update their armor packages by being modular mainly against .50 which is already normal for drug traffickers to use, even armor-piercing ammunition, I even have a video of a confrontation from a soldier's gopro inside a sandcat recording. People get confused with the versions since there are DN-Xl, DN-Xll and now DNll, the DN-Xll is the version that was supposed to replace the sandcat but it had problems, such as being very heavy, slow and prone to tipping over. Since then, efforts have been made to make it lighter with new binding kits and that is the new DN-Xlll, (more armored vehicles are not being manufactured, they are only updated) Regarding the other vehicles that you mention, such as the Cimarron and Kitam, they have been in development for approximately 5 to 10 years, they are mere prototypes, nothing manages to convince them to start production, probably costs and more so taking into account that they are increasingly armored like Cheyenne and adapted very well to the needs of the army. I would like to finish a problem, it is that in the last approx. approximately 5 to 10 linked units have been lost, most of them due to IEDs, which are usually fatal for any vehicle even despite not using such large explosive charges (enough enough to disappear a civilian pick-up type vehicle) which is why the lack of armored vehicles in general is becoming more and more worrying, how unsuitable they are and that now they also have drones as a threat. To try to alleviate that, vehicles have been modified to have a Mexican version of the Husky, basically an anti-mine vehicle and purchasing anti-drone weapons. A new version of the sandcat has also been seen in tests, which is the Rider version that offers much better protection against IED but it seems that it does not convince, even than the JLTV. At the time, before the war against drugs began, the vehicle that would replace the humvee was the vamtac, but since large numbers were needed and it had a large logistical footprint, the humvee was chosen.
