Great video. I'm in Thailand now... Jomtien Beach.. Near Pattaya. I'm also a residente permanente of mex... But the cost of living in the nicer places in Mexico is stupid high... La Condesa.. San Miguel de.. Roma Norte... and yearly rents in Puerto Vallarta.. Plays del Carmen... Stupid high. Prices are often comparable to USA! Here in Thailand... Jomtien Beach.. 300 usd gets you a beautiful modern and FULLY equipped Condo.. 5 minute walk to beach... Large balcony... 10th floor... Ocean view. 60 Sq. Meters. Cost of living in México has been a deal breaker and I can't see returning there... and right now crime is MUCH worse than my initial years there.. 2012... I'll miss mariachis... The music and Mexican people.

I haven't been affected by crime here at all. One of the big problems with Thailand is that most Thais hate farang. You wouldn't know unless you understood Thai, but they literally talk shit to farang all the time. It's not a society you can ever be a part of, unlike Mexico.

@@sebastiancastillo8512 not true. I don't know what happened to you while you were in Thailand, but I have seen so many farang guys having a blast there. Thais in general like hanging out with white people because of its history and tourism industry

I have visited Thailand and currently in Mexico. Climate is my biggest reason to visit those. Thailand is true tropical, the weather is guaranteed hot and never cold even during nights. But in Mexico you can clearly have chilly nights, because its too far away from equator, sits around 20° latitude. Thailand is around 10°. I don't want to feel any coldness on holiday. Even now in April, in the evening I was riding with motorbike in Cancun with T shirt and literally shaking because of the cold. Never thought I need a jacket! This would never happen in Thailand. Visiting Mexico in December, January, forget it, not for me. In Americas, it's probably Colombia which can offer true guaranteed tropical weather and women there are maybe not so fat. But Colombia went injection crazy over there as well. And this mask mandate in Mexico has blown my mind, in Merida 99,9% are wearing masks and if someone is asking or even offers me mask for free, so I can sit down in restaurant, I just leave. Entering Walmart is impossible without a mask. Mexico is jab free, but totally mask crazy.

I hear ya - that's why I haven't gone back to Merida. And yeah, it can get a bit chilly during winter evenings here. Hopefully when things in Colombia chill out a bit I can head over to see things for myself, but yeah, not too impressed with how fat lots of Mexican ladies are

Hey man, thanks for writing in. For Thailand, I can only comment on Phuket, Bangkok, and Chiang Mai. They all have their pros and cons - depends on what you're looking for. In Mexico, I'd advise starting out here in the Riviera Maya - Cancun, Playa Del Carmen, and Tulum, to get a feel for it. Everything has gotten more expensive everywhere - just gotta roll with it and figure out how to make more cash

Except for Bangkok and Phuket, other smaller cities are still super cheap. Also the suburban areas/outskirts of Bangkok and Phuket are still very affordable. The problem is, most foreigners prefer to stay in expensive fancy areas and that is why it "feels" expensive. Also Thailand has more bang for your buck products and services than Mexico.

Also In Mexico and Brazil ( Where I live ) you don't need prescriptions for most medications like Wegovy which is $200 USD a month here in Brazil. Anyway have you noticed any price differences between drugs in Mexico vs Thailand? ( The legal ones 😂 ).

I went to Puerto Vallarta in November. I thought it was OK, but not really for me. Lot of older white women and gay men from Canada and USA, Mexican families on vacation. If I go again I'll try the Caribbean side. Thailand seemed like a lot more to do, especially for a single man.. if you know what I mean... But Thailand is a heck of a long way from west coast Canada, and Mexico I can get on a flight here at 10am and be sipping a margarita at 3.30pm in Mexico. Thailand is 11 hours to Japan, 4 hour lay over, then 6 hours to BKK. If jet lag gets to you as it does me, then there's a pain in the ass going to se asia. Mexico not so much.

No taxes on world wide income is obviously a massive plus, but that Elite Visa is not that cheap. I’m unsure if Thailand or Mexico is the best destination to live for decades, probably Thailand is cheaper than Mexico, but both seem to be good options.

Currently thinking about moving to Mexico or Thailand, even if I speak Spanish I’m still unsure about Mexico, I love Asian food, I don’t like chubby ladies and Mexican ladies eat too many tacos 🌮, Thailand is cheaper, but I understand the convenience of living in Mexico, although I have friends living in Chiang Mai and they love it, so I don’t know, but I can’t wait to leave the EUSSR

Trust your gut. Plenty of Mexican girls out here who keep themselves fit and thin - it's all about what you prioritize. Also consider that staying in Thailand long-term is a little more tricky than to do so in Mexico as a foreigner.
