$140 is a big ask for what amounts to barebones-featured action figures, a solid Batmobile, and some cardboard. Even with the least amount of effort to mold the computers and some framing for the Batcave, this could have been a slam dunk.

Mezco "5 Points" is their line of 5 POA figure sets. As of right now, I have seen 3 Godzilla 5 POA sets. I am interested in them, but they are expensive. P.S. I do love cardboard, but not at that price!

I understand what you are saying. I got mine only for the 3.75in figures. I don’t need them to do much. Then I put them in the McFarlane batcave which scales better… then added my 1/18 Hot Wheels Batmobile and 1/18 Batcycle… and of course Funckos 3.75in batgirl. It took a lot of companies but it’s nice all together. Just my 2 cents

I haven't assembled my batcave yet, but I love this set and think it's well worth the price! Have you seen the Fleischer Superman set they are making? Looks nice!! I also have the Mezco figures and Batmobile. Good stuff!! Have you seen the new ReAction figures in Target lately? They look like garbage and are now $18 each. These figures are nicer and come with a boatload of gadgets. Just going by the reaction pricepoint, these figures in the set would almost justify the $140 price point. Then you get the Batmobile as well. Yes, the cardboard Batcave is kind of crappy, but it's still a nice set overall.

Thanks for the review. Sorry you didn’t enjoy the set. I love mine and have integrated it with the rest of my Batman collection. The rubber capes remind me of the Mego pocket heroes from the 70’s. And I was a bit surprised by the scale. For 3 3/4 they are smaller than Star Wars and GI Joe.

I agree with all of this. I bought the set for the Batmobile, but I was left a little disappointed because I didn't like the matt finish (needs to be shiny for me!). I think I might have felt better about the price point if it included a Batgirl and her Batcycle. I've seen some people merge this set with the McFarlane dio set for a more impressive display...

Respect the opinion 👊 I bought this...I think it was worth the price. It looks like it was meant to display not rough house with. ...as a buyer I agree 70 bucks. As a company this looks like there was alot effort and love put in the set, making the sculpts the cape the backdrops the car and having a second headsculpt along with accessories. I think it's worth a buy. Compared this to haslab if you disagree or any other set that comes close to the details... On the downsize it's very flimsy and fragile which sucks but again it's meant to display it seems not for roughhousing. I bought it and feel it's worth a buy especially if your a fan of 66 Batman. Hold off and watch this thing jump to 500 from scalpers...and then yes it be a total ripoff.

I just get mine and I thought it was a 9 outta 10. The figures scale ok with ReAction and Marvel 375 (not perfect, but ok). The figures and Batmobile are really good. I hope Mezco does more figures.

The Mezco Batmobile and figures sold separately would be a great match proportion wise with the McFarlane Batcave. The McF figures are a bit too big for the cave, and the Mezco seem more to scale.

Great review. I think if you can get this set for $99, it’s worth it. The cave looks good, but not the cardboard computers; they should have been plastic. When you had it all set up - from far away - it looked great!

Great to see a new video from Dean and All Things 80s. We really have missed you, Dean. Awesome honest review, that simply acknowledges that this Mezco Batman '66 is a massive disappointment. After the incompetence of the Batman '66 toyline from the moron McFarlane, you would think that Mezco would ensure that their toyline would be an improvement. Sadly, this is not the case. The figures look very poor quality and the Batcave / Wayne Manor cardboard sets are just recyclable rubbish. The only good thing is the Batmobile, but with paint issues, even that is a " could do better! " And the price tag is just an expensive joke.

i mean if they sold each fig separated they would be atleast 15 to 20 each for the accessories the car would most likely be atleast 50 by itself with no figs the cardboard is def just a freebie add on. even with just that your looking at around 150. idk i dont think its that bad of a deal when you look at what theyd sell it all by itself.

To be fair, ReAction style figures average $20 apiece. Times 7 figures is already $140 Plus you get a comparable batmobile (that McFarlane sells for $30) That’s excluding a shitty retro style paper Playset set So price wise is actually quite decent, but the quality of the Playset really pulls down the overall value

Late to this video, but I definitely regret purchasing it as well. I couldn't stop myself as it was '66 Batman at 3 3/4" and I really wanted to add those figures that Funko never made. However, in hindsight I should've just waited and hunted them loose on eBay. Oh well, can't win 'em all and Mezco definitely lost me as a pre-order customer to anything this "deluxe" sized ever again.

A great review but I have to disagree somewhat. The tooling cost for the car, figures and fantastic array of accessories is very expensive and Mezco could have cut corners here but didn't. With this set you get pretty much close to every character. It's wonderful. Also, I can imagine the cost of the car alone on eBay in the near future going for somewhere in the region of £60 and each figure alone £30 thereabouts if not more. If the diorama had been made of plastic then it wouldn't feel 60's, it would feel 80's or later. Mezco have achieved a set that feels as though it is from the 1960's and this includes the amazing packaging too. I feel that I got mine at a decent price and would definitely say to someone who is considering buying this set to do so, it's a big chunk of retro! I don't have enough space to display mine, I have to be honest, but I'm happy to know that I've got it, it's beautiful. I appreciate your vids a lot though because I'd rather someone be honest, wether I agree with them or not. 👍

this really is a bummer. I was hoping this set would have gone the classic retro cardboard covered in polyvinyl like the old MEGO sets to at least provide some kind of value to it. This is a 90 dollar set at most and even that is pushing. I ordered the Superman Fleischer set and that was only because there is far too few pieces of merchandise featuring this adaptation of the character and that one has at least a plastic phone booth for Clark to change to Superman.
