Mezuzah. Does price matter? Why does it matter where you buy your Mezuzah Scroll from?

I had a friend who told me he got a “mezuzah” for only $10 dollars. The hairs on my neck raised and I asked if I could see it… when I saw how sloppy it was and in pen ink… oy he was not happy. I helped him get a proper mezuzah.
