MF DOOM is responsible for some of the greatest things to ever come out of hiphop/RAP. He should be a model for any up and coming artist. With creations like MADVILLAINY, OPERATION DOOMSDAY(which I will get to next month) and this, he lets us know why he wears a mask. We probably couldn't handle the masterpiece behind it(pause).

Pale Godwit imagine paying for tickets to see DOOM live, and you show up its some a randy dude. Of course those people would be pissed. They wanted DOOM. They didn’t want to stand around listing to his tracks while some dude faked it all. They paid the price for tickets under the assumption they were actually going to a real concert. Yes, it fits DOOM’s persona or identity to do that but I hope I explained why the people who got duped could feel cheated and screwed over

The "taught her how to bust a nut" line is a lot less jarring in the context of the whole song, which is about a sort of sugar daddy relationship. The previous line is "only mess with high rollers/do what daddy told her." Throughout the whole song there's juxtaposition of him buying stuff for this chick and acting fatherly in a way but never forgetting that she's a ho. That one line reads more like "treat her like a daughter....but I still taught her...." Also the point of the line is the internal rhyme of daughter/taught her. Actually the line is a perfect summation of the irony of that kind of relationship.

Doom is in a league on his own when I first heard this LP, I loved how he fully embraced the whole marvel comics themes by heavily sampling the 1960's fantastic four and spider-man cartoons to generate most of the music and additional vocals on the tracks.

it's so amazing and wonderful to see somebody that age get into MF Doom for the first time, the mistakes, the Wonder and the things he's going to find out over the years of going into dooms body of work. Like he's gotten so much things wrong but it's beautiful because he's so into it and he's going to discover so much shit overtime. My man I'm not going to tell you what you got wrong or what you got right I'm just marveling at the way you getting into this and I mean have fun, much love... ps yes ur brain will explode if u listen to too many Doom tracks in a day. I've been watching your reviews for the past like 2 hours, dead ass. But I'm enjoying this alot, some people do reviews and half ass it or speed through it for the likes or whatever but I appreciate how you dive in, get in depth and really give your genuine opinion. It makes me happy to see people reacting so "transparently" for a lack of better words, to music I vibe with as well. Keep doing your thing man.

I'd definitely listen to Vaudeville Villain by DOOM. He uses the alias of "Viktor Vaughn" for that album. That album just has a grimier feel than his other work and his raps are more aggressive. Lots of crazy stories and great bars on there. I'd say that album, this album, and Madvillainy are his 3 best albums.

Never listened to Rap or R&B as a child much. Grew up in a metal head household. I love metal, but there was something about doom when i heard him on November Comes Again track on Demon Dayz. Had to look him up after that and i havent looked back since. Dude has flow like no one i ever heard, so tongue in cheek and lyrically charged. Deff one of my favorite musicians currently.
