"A" is the earlier SRV tone, played through mostly Fenders, you hear more individual notes, leaner, maybe slightly more mids. "B" are little fatter and dirtier, notes are more blurred, like some of SRV's tones in 1989 and 1990. I'd choose the "A" pickup to buy.

Both sets sound immense to me and definitely have their uses. My gut goes with set A many for that articulation when on the edge of breakup. I can imagine b being awesome for ambient. I would d go,for A though

the pick ups in example A just sound nice and well rounded. Not sure how they would be in a band mix probable that pick ups B cut through a bit more. Brilliant playing John
