Is that damaging anything at slow speed the way it catches and makes noise? Do I need to use Honda mtf fluid or should I get a different transmission fluid
@tayvonrose25282 жыл бұрын
Torco manual fluid

Hi there, did you ever have issues with the speedometer sensor gear stripping out after installing your LSD?
@vpvo960511 ай бұрын
no issues but make sure to change it to the one included with the LSD (the stock one will not work) In the case of cable driven VSS (usually 93 and older honda transmissions) you will have to disassemble it in order to replace the actual gear

@vpvo9605 thanks, the lsd I ordered did not come with its own speedo ring gear, I re installed the oem ring gear on the lsd and was using the oem speed sensor gear also

@vpvo9605 Жыл бұрын
a bit, depends on which fluid you will ultimately use

Thank you for your video, cause I just finish my build (EF with B16A2 + LSD Mfactory) and I was thinking this fucking noise wasn't normal! And I was going to drop the gearbox to open it...

Glad I could help! Yes it is quite a shock if you have not experienced this type of differential before.

@@vpvo9605 So do u have to do the same procedure when installing the hellical LSD? I got one from MFactory for my 1995 Saturn SL2 I'm syked to get it in soon, with my Fidanza untra lightweight flywheel and install a roll pin for the diff as well to give it more strength!

Mfactory recommends Torco fluid?
@vpvo96052 жыл бұрын
For daily driving and light track use Torco is acceptable. I use it myself in the winter months

I have the same noise in my lsd but with the noise i can live but the problem is that in the last 6 months i had have to replace the axle seal of the left side transmission because leak oil :(
@aslopez923 жыл бұрын
Was all that noise from the transmission or wheels rubbing?
@mkj.3 жыл бұрын
It's the plated diff, that's how it's always gonna sound doing slow turns (as seen in the video).
@vpvo96053 жыл бұрын
The clutch type/plate type LSD will always have loud, sudden noises and jerking when the plates slip past to unlock. This can be alleviated by reducing the lock settings inside the actual LSD (for street driving/autox, etc)
@fozzysg67663 жыл бұрын
Can I do this with a brand new clutch?
@vpvo96053 жыл бұрын
yes it will be no problem as you are not actually putting high load on the clutch itself

I have the same lsd in my k20 , too lot of noise , i will sell it
@vpvo96053 жыл бұрын
Yes, this style of LSD is not for most people, especially if driven normally on the street. Hopefully you find one that will work for you!

Is this clutches lsd or helical?
@chadwickwicky67Ай бұрын
man if that was helical something is broke 😮 but ya 99.99% sure that was plate style 👍
@Ygliltony2 жыл бұрын
So the helical don't make this noise?
@dierwulfbl2 жыл бұрын
OEM LSDs are helical and do not make this noise
@Ygliltony2 жыл бұрын
@@dierwulfbl thanks gonna try mfactory d series
