Mfj-935b small magnetic loop antenna tuner

This thing is INCREDIBLE!! Make a loop, out of wire, any shape, small size, and have a very efficient antenna. I tried this at field day and was AMAZED at the results. You must check out my other video using the MFJ-935b and a bicycle rim for 10 meters, and a tape measure for 20m. SWEET!!!! These little MFJ products have gone completely under my radar until now! Really have me thinking now.....I have a trip to the UK for work coming up up in 2 months and I will have a few spare days. corerct me if I'm wrong because magnetic loops are not overly known to me but this (as it says) is a loop tuner not a magloop tuner. I don't believe this is considered a magloop with only the single loop? Still an interesting tuner.

Nice demonstration......except there are some safety issues. There are some guidelines for how much distance is safe to be from an energized loop and it does not seem like this was done. I noticed one place at about 4:49 where a guy in a red shirt seemed close enough to touch the loop as you were transmitting. I don't mean to be picky, but this type of antenna generates in excess of 4,000 volts at power levels like you were using. If people are going to use this, safety first so as to avoid the casualty or even fatality column. The power levels you were using can give a nasty RF burn! There are really terrific antennas for certain applications, but we need to respect their potential for injury. Ok, enough soapbox. Keep up the good work! 73 de W8DU

You are using 50 watts that close to you? I have a indoor antenna and when I go over 25 watts I can feel it.

very nice tuner and i loved ur setup as i too use a ft450 at radio.living in a small apt now in cntrl pa. i want to check into this too. never owned a loop.you either like mfj equipment or dont,i do have used thier products since 1993. 73s kd5kkh

They have one complete loop antenna that can be remotely tuned but different videos I've seen of it. They have come problems with quailty control people having to go inside an tighten coupling between motor and capacitor and also I saw one that had to readjust limit switch. I don't know if they have had any problems with this controller or not first video I've seen of it
