When Medivh hits a Ley Line on a capture point he has to hit an entire team with a straight line skillshot so no-one can move onto the point after the fact. For Zera he just Void Prisons before the capture is complete and now only he can capture the boss. I think that's the reason you can steal bosses on Medivh but not Zera.

Ley line is really sad when compared to the other choices. The only real one that lets you steal camps, why? Dev says so. He is worse then Zera because Zera when he doesn't have to huge the point, you can stop. Medivh ports in from way to far after scouting it with his burb form, take no damage then leave if he fails. No chance to punish.

Arcane Explosion (shield explodes based on damage prevented) + Circle of Protection (shield is applied to all allies within a small radius around the original recipient) can absolutely decimate an enemy team that is either a dive comp, melee heavy, or doing a lot of AOE damage, because the shields applied by Circle of Protection are FULLY TALENTED, and thus can have Arcane Explosion from every single one, based on the damage each individual shield prevents. Lets say a Blaze charges in, stuns 3 members of your team, and a big W-build Li'Ming orb is coming their way, you shield all of them, and when the shields expire, Blaze either no longer exists or is so low that he shouldn't be too hard to finish off. Now that is a very specific scenario and usually it won't be that effective but it can still be really good in a lot of situations. sometimes though, yeah, reducing the protect cooldown is a bit better

There are somethings in hots that will always happen. Having a stealth hero on your team and one on the enemy team. Having an Abathur on one team and an Medivh on the other team. You have to try having Abathur and Medivh on one team it is hilariously devastating and having all the stealth heroes on one team is funny, too.

41-8-1 now following your builds. I was completely carried this game. I tended to tunnel vision on the enemy abathur and focused on harassing him behind enemy lines as much as possible and died a few times. I succeeded at doing at what I wanted to do but I can't help but feel that's not the point. This is one of those take the win and run games because I am awful with this hero. Thankfully the next two heroes are two of my best heroes.

There were a couple of portal fails to save some teamates in this game but not really much pally didn’t call out. Overall very solid gameplay from pally on this one to show some of what medivh can do! Medivh has a very utility based D&D Wizard playstyle. Using some spells out of it directly, namely polymorph, and then the portals being reminiscent of spells such as dimension door. Medivh is an enabler most of all, allowing characters to stay in fights way longer than they should. Kerrigan is an excellent example of this. If you pay attention whenever pally used the shield on kerrigan as she went in, her shields stacked up underneath allowing her to almost double her health with shields and then negating kerrigan’s lack of disengage tools through portal. To top it all off master’s touch arcane rift pairs great with the kerrigan combo to repeatedly spam the extra damage and secure kills. Overall good game and actually as frustrating as he can be to play against, playing medivh can be very satisfying.

For a non regular of Medivh, you played it super well ! As a Medivh main i just prefer the shield explosion + shield to all team talents, they can really help you to push damages up. Was really glad to see him in the spotlights for once anyway!

I feel like Kerrigan is one of the strongest heroes to pair with medivh, outside of gorge portal cheese. It just works so well

Portal mastery also allows you to make portals while beeing in birdform and be safe. Also your level 16 Arcane flux reduces cooldowns(also ult-cd) when autoattacking minions which is great ... :) Also Medivh actualy has laneclear ... if he goes up vs a warrior or tank .... then you can cleave a minionline very fast while attacking the meelechamp ... so it is very dependant on who you go up against and if you can cleave the wave while hitting the opposition.

Medivh, from my pov as a new hots player but not to mobas, hes a true support. He provides vision, immunity and great escapes, the merc steals are incredible. But a lot of support in other games work like him, rather indirect. Most of this games support is through direct healing or shielding or cc, more combat oriented

Had a tough game, came down to their core being 30%, then our core was getting beat down to 30%, used medivh cheats delayed long enough for my team to come alive, won the team fight and then win the game!

Medics is such a weird hero, even by hots standards. I’d say he is a true support hero without being a healer. Unfortunately his abilities is are so strong by themselves that he ended up being balanced around pro play which is unfortunate because he already was an unpopular pick in the first place.

Medivh should be down graded to a shield then heal. Where it's like 3% of the shield amount or 20% of the damage done to the shield. With a quest you can pick up that scales the heal up to 70% but don't make it easy to get, like using a +20 glob quest or a "block this amount" sorta thing. Also I'm talking about a fairly big shield at 500 base level. Maybe lower it to 400 if it's a bit much. To compare the self shield Zarya gives is 200. How ever only give like a second to the shield.
